Awesome! Lane, the owner is wonderful to work with! She is creative, energetic, thoughtful,organized, talented and honest! She truly cares about each and everyone of her clients! She spends the time with you and you feel as if you are the only one she is working with - you have her full attention! For a number of years now, I have had a resume that I absolutely hate. I've tried my best to format it, to maintain it, and encorperate advice I've gotten from friends and recruiters. In the end, my resume ended up being a complete mess. Because of this, I had alot of trouble getting my foot in the door and getting interviews. more

The Impossible Dream 1/4/2007

I presented Lane with a resume of six pages covering 26 years of experience , mutiple companies, numerous positions and a plethora of differing experiences. I needed a professional resume with a reasonable number of pages....and I didn't want to lose any of the highlights...and I wanted it in three days! I thought the task impossible, but Lane dedicated a significant amount of time to meeting my needs and presented me with a masterpiece. Terrific editor 12/29/2006

The woman who owns this business has an extremely keen eye for typographical errors, spelling mistakes, and punctuation gaffes. Her vocabulary is impressive, and her knowledge base is encyclopedic. I have sent her correspondence and documents for commentary and have been very pleased by her abilities. I would not hesitate to recommend her as an editor, proofreader or writer. more

The rudest person i've ever spoken with on the phone. 12/27/2006

Lane is one of the rudest people who I have ever spoken with on the phone. Besides lacking professionalism and etiquette (she didn't even introduce herself), she was evasive and brash. I asked very basic questions about the services offerered, but had to continue asking in an attempt to get answers about the price range for her services. In response to my questions, her tone was condescending as were her answers towards me. I would never give business to anyone SO lacking in professionalism and decorum. more

The Best Resume I've ever had 10/29/2006

I showed up at Career Resume Services not quite knowing what to expect. Lane, the owner and head honcho of these humble offices is an interesting and extremely professional woman with an incredible knack for extracting critical information from her clients. She sat me down, made me feel welcome and spent the necessary time to help create a stunning resume that quickly helped me to land a great job in my field of choice. The price was more than reasonable and the task was completed in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend using Career Resume Services for your resume needs, as well as any other needs that call for a well-worded letter. Although we only knew each other for a short time and I have since moved out of Portland, Lane was, (and I assume still is) just a really cool chick who's funny as all get-up and does amazing work. I defintiely plan on using her services again. Pros: Everything! Cons: Nothing! more

I had a whirl wind need to get a resume completed and was commuting for my former job. Lane had the challenge of helping create an accurate and impressive document in very little time and with only two meetings with me. She accomplished more than I ever expected! I have engaged the services of Lane Browning of Career Resume Services for over ten years, but not once have I asked her to write a resume for me. Rather, I have tapped into her extensive background as a journalist and editor, and engaged her to help write marketing materials for my company, edit journal articles and newsletters, and also to edit one of my books. Lane has made herself available to meet my demanding schedule, has worked with me not only to help me edit but to teach me how to write more effectively so in the future I might need less editing assistance. I find her rates very reasonable and would recommend her highly to anyone seeking assistance with a wide range of journalistic endeavors. more

A great Resume got me in the door 10/12/2006

I went to Career Resume Services expecting to get good professional, but I got that and more. I worked with Lane and found to not onlybe professional and competent, but very friendly. Lane is someone you can really work with and feel that she is making a resume that will present the best of you possible. As expected, the resume got me in for an interview and now I am entering into my second career. This is the best place to go if you want a resume that will get your foot in the door at great companies. Lane's expert advice and excellent attention to detail has wowed every company that I've gone to and it has paid off big time...TWICE. Not only is she great at working with people but she helps people explore interests and go after jobs that they had never looked at before. My sister was the first in my family to use Career Resume Services and after using her resume, she got a great job in NY immediately. We did not use this service as a resume service but for our new business ""Boomers Get Connected On Line Dating for Boomers created by Boomers. They helped us create profiles questions, ideas, feedback on what we were creating. As a writer and creator Career Resume Services is very articulate, creative, sticks to the facts, proper English grammar is always expected. We found them to be very professional and helpful. The follow through was excellent and suggestions appreciated. more
