I have shopped in this store as a childless person for 10+ years. All through college and now as a new mom. I will never, ever go here again. I wouldn't recommend any one who has children either with them or at home. Why support a business owner that is so unfriendly towards parents? My 15 month old was having a terrible day already and I was going to be in and out of the store as quickly as possible. I decided on a candle for a friend, but wanted to check the various scents. I would smell and then let my 15 month old smell because he needed the interaction to remain calm. He tried to reach into one and I deflected him with the lid. The owner claimed that he did touch it. I asked her to show me and she showed me 2 big gouges. His hands were clean and scent free. Nothing on them! It's a soft candle and had he made those gouges he would have had wax all over his fingers. I was wearing black, so it would have shown on me as well. Believe me I would take the blame if it were so. I am someone who never wanted children, so I can appreciate those that don't have them or never wanted them because I was there once. She never came out and said I had to buy it, but gave me the ""Wellllll...."" With accusatory head tilt and stern look. I was buying one anyway, so I did purchase that one. It was the right thing to do if he had done it, BUT HE DIDN'T. I didn't appreciate being treated like a pariah and taking her already damaged goods off her hands. Terrible way to treat a customer in these economic times. I am calling all my friends and telling them to not go there. Cards are a thing of the past!!!!
Pros: employees are lovely. Owner is not.
Cons: Prices are ridiculous, Owner is not friendly.
