Lori did a great cut on me and diagnosed my intensely dry hair so well that she found the perfect products to bring my curls back to life (use the moroccan oil, ladies!!). She knows what she's doing, that's for sure... Pros: great colorist, great cut more

Best Haircut and Color in Town 8/20/2009

Michael is a genius, although you may go in the salon with the a specific idea of how you would like your hair, Michael will adapt it to your lifestyle and the shape of your face. \r I have never been able to keep a cut in shape while growing it out before M Squared. Great Haircuts + Color! 8/5/2009

Stephanie @ MSquared has been cutting + coloring my hair since I moved to RI part-time in 2003. She's professional, patient and very tuned-in to what's new in her industry. The salon is small, but hip and in a great neighborhood. You can shop or have lunch before or after your appointment and there's a parking lot right next door! Prices are good too! more

Melissa at M Squared is amazing! 7/28/2009

I followed Melissa from Urban Detour and she is amazing. I have a pretty complicated color that is multi colors and dry hair that she transforms for me. I am constantly asked where I get my hair done and I always love recommending her and the salon. I am also super picky and have gone to many stylist that have had there own ideas of how my hair should look. Melissa always listens and always does an outstanding job. Pros: best cut and color more

I recently moved to providence and was in search of a salon and came upon M2. I always get nervous upon trying new salons, b/c most places don't know how to cut curly hair. Well.... Go to Stephanie! She is great, and my cut was awesome.... Have been back 3 times already and will continue! more

Superior salon minus the pretension 6/28/2009

I was referred by a friend to Melissa at M Squared and am so glad that I took her advice. The pricing is reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Melissa is meticulous, attentive and very detailed. The location is great, as well, as it is central to all of the great shops and restaurants on Federal Hill. more

I moved to Providence about 9 months ago, I tried M squared shortly after that and have been going ever since. Devan is great and the salon is a very relaxed fun atmosphere. more

I've been going to Devan for a few years now and followed her from another salon. I love the new salon. It's a great location on Atwells and the atmosphere is totally relaxed. Devan does a great job and is always great to be around. I'd give her six stars if I could. Pros: Great locale, awesome stylist! more

I have been going to Stephanie for almost 2 years now and have NEVER had a bad haircut. I have left the salon loving whatever she has done everytime. I cant say that about anyone else I have gone to. Devan has been styling my hair for 2 years now. I just love what she does with my hair. All I need to say is “make me pretty” and she takes it from there! \r Always up-beat, has an amazing sense of fashion, trends and at the same time, finds what best fits for my face, personality, and hair texture. \r I get so many compliments on my hairstyle; right after a haircut and even when it is completely ready for a trim. Best Salon! 5/27/2009

I have gone to many salons around Providence and never go back but this salon is the best salon and I will be returning. I am very particular about my hair, I went from having long hair to short a year ago and now I want my long hair back so I only wanted my hair to be trimmed. Steven Lester was my stylist and he listened to everything I wanted. I haghly recommend him for anyone with short hair! Pros: Great Staff, Parking Available, Price more

I love M Squared!!! 5/4/2009

I love Lori A!! I followed her from another salon and think she's just the best! Her cuts are fantastic - they look great the day of and grow out beautifully!!! \r \r I have a recent shoulder injury that has sigificiantly limited my range of motion and made my shoulders very sensitive to the touch. I've been going to M Squared Salon since it opened in the Fall of 2008. it's the place where ""everybody knows your name."" The staff there is friendly and warm. Stephanie Shay has been my stylist for YEARS and I followed her to M Squared because, of all the stylists I've had through the years, she is the best. Once featured in Allure magazine as a top talent, this girl knows how to make my thick wavy hair look good. Arianna is a makeup master, and Michael is a color genius! I seriously recommend M Squared to anyone looking for a quality Salon. And, after you're looking hott why not stop meet a friend at one of the restaurants on the Hill? I've been going to Steph for ~5 years and have recommended her to numerous people who also love her. She knows how to cut/style curly hair, has an upbeat personality - and gives THE best blow-dry. I've never before had a stylist tame my curls without using a flat iron - but she does it all on her own :) Pros: Awesome stylist, close to home Cons: parking (only if you go during dinnertime) more

Michael has been doing my hair for years, when he opened his own salon I was thrilled. Not to mention the location is in Federal Hill so I take home fresh baked goods and pasta for a relaxing afternoon with a hot hair style! I like to make a day of it. Pros: Best cut and color in town more

I had an appointment with Lori and she was really great! She spent a long time asking about the way I liked to style my hair and what type of look I wanted. Best haircut anywhere 4/3/2009

I go to Lori A. and my hair always looks great. I like to mix it up, sometimes streaky, sometimes a style change. I can wait longer between cuts because it still looks good for 5–6–7 weeks. The products they use are the best. I buy my shampoo there. I'll never go anywhere else. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more
