Editorial review from Citysearch 2/9/2014

Ignore what Kati s said. I have been riding a CEC for over five years. I knew luna. Luna WAS ridden. I RODE HER she did not require shoes as the vet recommended we do not put them on her. Kait obviously does NOT know what she is talking about. \r \r Blazing blues said that it was run down. It was, however they have fixed it BIG TIME and they even built a new barn. \r \r There are a few more bad reviews that I have rants for, but that would get annoying. \r \r If you want to contact them, DONT CALL THEM!!!!! EMAIL THEM!!!!! more

its great! 1/15/2009

CEC is the best place to ride in the whole entire world! i have been riding there for 6 years now and i have loved every second of it! everyone there is very nice and the environment is great! I was going to a great horse stale and they unfortunately had to close down leaving me with no barn as good as my old stable. When my mother told me that she found a place i was very wary about going. but when i went it was the greatest place i had EVER gone too. it was better than the other one. I am so glad that i had made up my mind to go there! everyone IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO RIDE COME HERE! Pros: ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Cons: NONNNNEEEEE more

How is it? 8/8/2008

Hi. I know nothing about this place. Could someone tell me about it? And do they have a website? Does anyone know if they have boarding and how much it costs? Thank you so much!!! more

Most to Offer for the Area 3/18/2008

CEC is a great boarding and lesson facility. There are two outdoors, an indoor, two barns and a heated tack room, viewing room and bathroom facilities. The owners are awesome and Owen is a farrier, so no need to travel for shoes! Great lesson program and friendly atmosphere. There is a quarter mile track around the property and excellent trails in the Blue Hills *directly* across the street. Very busy place, so best stop by if you want to talk to someone! Pros: excellent location, reasonable fees, trails directly across the street, knowledgable on premise owners, good instructors and care Cons: hard to reach by phone more

Run down over charged facility the pictures do it justice big time. 3/5/2008

The Owners are nice But there riders and trainers think they know it all and in reality they dont have a clue what there talking about. 2 That place is so far run down it is not worth that kind of money. further more I think there riders are very inconsiderate to other riders out in the trails. The paddocks need to be all done over and they need to fix that place up cause it is filthy and run down ......... Pros: Nice Owners Cons: Run down Dirty and Over charged more

a great barn 2/24/2008

I've been riding at Canton Equestrian Center for almost 6 years. There is nothing wrong with the owners, there is nothing wrong with the barn. SOME people just do not know what they are talking about. The horse mentioned below, Winona, was moved because her owner built a banr in her backyard to keep her horse closer to her. There is nothing wrong with her. She's fine, alive and kickin thank you very much. They do have issues returning phone calls, for that I'm sorry. You're more likely to get a hold of someone if you come down and actually talk to someone. more

Very disturbing and way below standards. 9/25/2007

I started taking lessons here and the trainer was great-Jennifer Kola. The problem is the barn. The owners are awful and I've personally witnessed the owner Mary decked a horse ""Dial"" who is no longer there in the face. My husband and I were horrified. There are far too many horses to be equally turned out and as a result, many of them stay in their stalls all day, all night for days. It's awful. They have a huge grass pasture and NEVER use it, it's ridiculous. Totally half a** operation and not worth the money. If you care about your equine partner, which you should if you own one, you should board somewhere else. It's just beyond disturbing to me what they deem ""acceptable"" for horses. They may be animals but they deserve to see the sun and people. Leave a horse in a stall for days on end and you'll end up with a horse who develops lots of vices. They had one horse there ""Winona"" a beautiful Mare who NEVER got ridden, and was basically turned out 30 minutes every other day. She died from leg problems, GEE, YOU'RE KIDDING??? That's my point, the owners treat the horses like a burden and a business whereas most people own horses for a passion and a love. more

Hold Your Horses 9/22/2007

Ok, I ride at Canton Equestrian Center and have been for 5 years now. They are great and are getting new trainers for lessons now I ride with Jennifer Kola. They also have about 7 or 8 lesson horses now. They are building new rings in the very back. There is going to be a x-country, stadium, and a track. The reason they might not be answering is probably because the phone is in teh office and no one is ever in there and if so they don't have a reason to pick up if they aren't the owners or stable hands. The prices went up as of January 1st, the money was needed for the new rings. Pros: Friendly People, Great lessons, wonderful grounds and stables Cons: Parking more

Hello....Anybody There? 6/28/2007

After reading the good reviews of the Canton Equestrian Center and trying to reach them for months leaving multiple messages on a nebulous and generic recording, I am truly now wondering 1) if the Canton Equestrian Center is still in operation, 2) is the telephone number in this listing correct and 3) if Pros: I would like to find out Cons: Lack of responsiveness more
