AMAZING DRIVING INSTRUCTOR! 10/26/2010

Just finished up my driving hours and, am EXTREMELY satisfied with the time I spent at Cam's ? with Anna Sabatino. She is one of the most inspirational people whom I've met and is a superb driving instructor. During drivers ed, I actually LOOKED FORWARD to each day! Anna Sabatino makes learning to drive easy and fun. With her help, my parallel parks are perfect every time! If you sign up for a class at Cam's, MAKE SURE you get Anna. It makes a huge difference to learn to drive with someone who's funny, fun, loves kids, and is passionate about what she does. more

Excellent Driving School Instructor 10/24/2010

I just wanted to say that Cam's Auto School has an amazing instructor--Anna Sabatino. I have learned a great deal from her, and I am confident that I will pass my driving test the first time because of her dedication and expert instruction. I strongly recommend Anna Sabatino if you sign up for driving lessons through Cams Auto School. more

5-star instructor in 1-star establishment 10/13/2010

The instructor for the class, Anna Sabatino, was great. I liked the way she dealt with the parents for the opening class - really has great energy and a lot of it! And my daughter loved her for the driving classes. But, I'm not so happy with the rescheduling policy. I made an appointment for my daughter to drive with Anna and had to move it due to a tournament she will be in. I cancelled 3-weeks ahead of time and was told that if the time isn't filled I will be charged the $25. I find this outrageous for a company to do. If I happened to pick a time that is not normally used, why should I still be responsible for it? Sorry, Anna - my daughter may not get as many hours with you because I won't signup until I know she will be free without any chance of rescheduling. more

Incredible Driving Experience! 9/1/2010

When I first walked through the doors of Cams, I was not expecting much. I was dreading having to do Drivers Ed. But thankfully, I was lucky enough to have Anna Sabatino as my instructor, and I immediately loved Drivers Ed. Anna was so enthusiastic about what she was teaching us, positive, and genuinely caring about us students. I couldn't wait to continue having classes after the first day. After Drivers Ed, I got lucky again and had Anna as my instructor for my driving hours. She taught me everything from how to physically drive the vehicle to how to drive with confidence and control. I now have my license, and I owe it all to Anna and Cams! more

Amazing Driving School 8/31/2010

I was skeptical about giving up my Christmas week vacation to take driving school but when I got there and meeting and lessening the instructor, Anna Sabatino, I began to realize this was not going to be a waste of a week. As well as her classroom teaching skills Anna is a brilliant road driving instructor, she taught me to drive in all types of weather and all the skills I need to pass the driving test (the most important test of man). more

Fantastic Experience 8/28/2010

I was hesitant about spending my April vacation at Cam's Auto School doing the accelerated course. I thought it would be a dull six hours everyday for 5 days full of boring old videos and memorizing facts. I had no idea that it was going to be the best way I could have possibly spent my week. I had Anna Sabatino as my teacher and she changed my attitude towards drivers ed and driving. She made me excited every morning to wake up and spend the day at driver's ed. Her way of teaching us the information was fun and interactive and kept everyone in the classroom awake and paying attention. She was so friendly and easy to talk to and she gave me so much confidence in my driving abilities. I would highly recommend Cam's and specifically Anna Sabatino to anyone! more

Best Decision I've Ever Made 8/6/2010

I was kinda skeptical at first about going to auto school because a lot of people had said that it was really boring. And I have had my permit for almost a full 2 years so i thought that it was about time to get cams over with and get my license. So the first day of class i thought grate we are gonna get lectures and watch old crappy movies. But then the teacher introduced herself and from that second i knew it wasn't what i expected. Anna Sabatino completely changed my outlook on drivers ed. she had a wonderful attitude toward teaching us and empowering us. she made the class fun and exciting. she has the best attitude towards teens. especially because she knows we dont get the gratitude that we deserve. If i had to do it all over, i wouldnt change a thing. Anna Sabatino has really changed my life just in one simple week. she makes you think about how others feel and look at different points of view. i loved drivers ed. especially with anna sabatino. Great Experience!!! 6/2/2010

At first i was extremely anxious to start my driving hours and when i did i wont lie i was pretty bad. But after my first lesson with Anna Sab. each one got easier and easier, the confidence i gained got bigger and bigger and soon i was an awesome driver who eventually passed the rode test on the first try! like most people i had the idea that this experience would suck but it was completely the opposite and i couldnt have been more wrong, i learned so much, not just about driving but about life and how to go through it. Anna Sab. was one of the easiest people to talked to and was so awesome about everything, i deffinately owe alot to her and if i could go back and do it again i deffinately would. I would strongly suggest taking Cams auto school and especially requesting Anna Sabatino as your driving instructor!!! more

Such A Great Experience 5/15/2010

My experience with Cam's has been outstanding. I had the idea in my head that driving school was going to be dull and painful to attend. At first I dreaded going, but then I realized that it was actually a good time. I took the accelerated course over winter vacation and I had a blast. The time flew by and I came away knowing so much. My instructor Anna Sabatino was amazing. She was so friendly and easy to get along with, she taught me more than I thought I would learn. It was impossible to not pay attention during class because she made it interesting and I actually wanted to learn. My friends made fun of me because I was actually excited to go to driving school each day even though it was my vacation. Since driving with my instructor, my skills as well as my confidence have increased tremendously. I would definately recommend Cam's to anyone who is looking for driving school, I had a wonderful experience. Pros: It is enjoyable, and the instructors make it interesting. Cons: Busy more

I Loved Cams 5/13/2010

I loved Cam's, it was so fun. Everybody who took drivers education from different places always told me that drivers education is the most dull and banal experience anyone would ever experience. I went into that classroom with low expectations and ready to be swept into 2 hours of uneventful facts, facts, and more facts. But then i learned quickly that what they had told me was not true. The instructors there know exactly how to explain things in the way kids WANT to hear. They connect with the kids and you can see that they all actually enjoy working with kids. I would recommend Cam's driving school to anyone and everyone who was looking for a place to learn everything there is to know about driving. Cam's Auto School is Great! 5/8/2010

I had a fabulous experience at Cam's Auto School. The instructor was energetic and passionate about what she was doing, which made the experience even better for me. The instructor was always on time, for both the in class lessons and the driving hours, and I was able to learn the material well because the instructor knew what she was teaching. She was always able to answer my questions and passed all her knowledge on to me in a way that I was able to understand everything clearly. My driving skills improved exponentially and it is all thanks to Cam's Auto School. They have a fantastic program and I'd recommend it to everyone. Go to Cam's!!! Great experience so far ... 3/1/2010

I live in Lexington and my 16 year old son is currently in Cams. Being a web review junkie I saw these reviews but signed up anyway. I'm going to say from my experience they are wrong ... or at least I have not seen any issues. A few examples: -- Teacher in Lexington is great. Actually keeps the kids attention -- Driving instructor has a personality and always on time -- Scheduling driving times has not been an issue on the two occasions I called. Phone staff is courteous and prompt. I'm sure that during the winter months there is less demand than vacation periods so maybe one reason for different experiences. Overall I'd recommend Cams -- but would suggest that they should get into Web based scheduling to make the experience better for all. Pros: Great instructor Cons: manual scheduling more

Be Smart - Drive to another town for a better driving school 12/14/2009

If I had to do it all over again I would have listed to my friends that used Cam's for their children. They told me Not To Use them. The only thing Cam's has going for them is really nice friendly drivers. If you are smart you will check there success rate of percentage of students that pass the test 1st try. I bet it is below 20%. In my son's class of 35 only 3 passed the first time. There are plenty of other driving schools out there that appreciate the $800 you are giving them, do yourself a favor, look around and shop for the best place, don't go to Cams for the converience, in the long run it isn't worth it. My daughter wanted to go there b/c all her friends did, we live in Lexington. I read review after review and said, ""NO"" - and she couldn't be happier. All her friends are struggling with hours and the rudeness of the staff. She is right on time for every aspect of her driving test. worst place EVER 9/9/2009

soo i signed up for this hell hole LAST YEAR. i tried to get it done quickly by doing the one week of all the classes. i didnt learn anything at all and they didnt even have a set teacher for the whole week. they are disorganized and i seriously question the intelligence of the ""instructors"" and now that i've gotten around to try and schedule my driving lessons, they wont answer their phone! at this rate i will be 18 before i finish cams and it would have been a waste of $600. more

terrible ""school"" 7/21/2009

I've taken the classes 3 months ago, and since i got my permit, tried to call them often to schedule driving lessons. I was always disconected or actually hung up on. When i finally reached them at 9:45 AM on a monday (they open at 9:00), they said their computer was not turned on yet and i should call back at 11:00. I called back at 11:10, and was disconnected again. What gives. Cons: everything more

Believe the negative reviews, unfortunately I didn't. Absolutely the worst customer ""service"" I have EVER experienced. These people are professionally in the business of separating you from your money, and that is it. Poor instruction, unbelieveably bad office staff, rude instructors and most importantly, they teach your children NOTHING. Pros: Not a single pro. Cons: It is an absolute sham more

SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND AGGRAVATION AND FIND A SCHOOL THAT IS RUN PROFESSIONALLY. I AGREE WITH ALL THE OTHER COMMENTS. THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. YOU CAN NEVER GET TO THE OWNER. THEY TAKE MORE STUDENTS THAN THEY CAN HANDLE. THE KIDS NEVER REALLY LEARN TO DRIVE, THEIR ""ROAD"" TIME IS SPENT DRIVING AND PICKING UP OTHER PEOPLE WHO MADE THE SAME MISTAKE AND ENTRUSTED THEIR CHILD TO THESE UNPROFESSIONAL FOLKS.
