This is the only Bosnian restaurant in the city of Houston and it's definitely very good. Besides the fact that Guy has visited this place, it's hands down as authentic as you can find around. Don't expect an extravagant dining ambiance. It's a hole in the wall, but if you know what to order, it can quickly become a place you go to repeatedly.
To start with, the restaurant has a BYOB policy. So if you want wine or beer with your food, be sure to bring it! They can accommodate wine glasses if you need them. I usually order the Beef Bourek, one of my favorite traditional dishes. The bourek is served hot with a side of cold Kajmak, a traditional spreadable cheese. My husband usually orders the cevap sandwich, which reminds him of home. It's served with kajmak, and a helping of Ajvar, which is a pickled tomato side dish, which with the Kajmak, marry perfectly together in taste.
On Saturdays, the restaurant actually roasts a whole lamb and serves it up in true Bosnian style. However, when the meat runs out, the dish is not served for the rest of the night. The place is usually packed during lunch and dinner, so make sure you either go earlier or later to be sure that you can find a table.
Pros: Great authentic Bosnian Dishes
Cons: Hole in the wall location
