Very professional service 12/22/2016

Marshall and Luis did a very thorough inspection of my house and pointed out places where cold air was apt to get in. They installed doors sweeps and weather stripping and changed out all the lightbulbs to energy-saving ones. They put aerators on the faucets to save water. They were efficient and very nice: real pros. They were not able to perform the planned air flow-through test on the house because of some short sections of asbestos-covered pipes in the basement, but I nonetheless benefitted greatly from their visit (free because of an Eversource/Wallingford Electric Division partnership). I strongly recommend people to take advantage of this program (called Home Energy Solutions) . You will probably save a lot of money. Even if you have to pay (normally $124, according to the flier), it will be worth it over time unless your house is already perfectly sealed. more

Great Job!! 12/16/2016

When they came in today they explained everything clearly. They were very courteous and friendly. They were here doing work for about 6 hrs, but it definitely did not feel that long. My husband and I were both working from home and they were very considerate about that. Very happy with the job they did! more

Mike and Manny were great! Friendly yet very professional.Took there time, checked every nook and cranny and took care of everything. Mike is also very organized in his paper work and explained everything to me. Would recommend everyone to have this energy audit done. Well worth the money!!!! more

Fantastic Energy Audit 12/7/2016

The service person who visited us, Duncan, was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable about every question we raised. Duancan had a helper. They did a flow test of the house, caulked any leaks found, and replaced bulbs with more efficient bulbs, including LEDs to replace Compact Fluorescents. None of our appliances or furnace are energy wasteful. We got a full report of the reduction in airflow and the savings of energy costs and were given rebates toward the few recommendations we got, like installing a better attic door cover. I would recommend Competitive Resources, and especially Duncan, to anyone in CT. more

Energy Audit 12/5/2016

The team from CRI Energy Services did a great job with my home energy audit. The were respectful and knowledgeable. The work they did to eliminate heat loss was incredible. I am anxious to see how that transfers to savings on my heating and electric bills. I was surprised to have an inspector here as well from the electric company to monitor and verify the data. Competitive Resources 12/3/2016

Lenny and Andrew came to our house yesterday, 12-02-16, for energize CT, Home Energy Solutions. They were hard workers, thorough...most importantly, they answered all of the questions that my husband and I asked...and they put up with be constantly inspected and barked at by our dog, Sam! energy efficiency review 12/1/2016

Lenny and his assistant Andrew were very professional and knowledgeable. Lenny answered all my questions and I had several as they went about their work. He explained each step as they progressed. They arrived exactly at the time scheduled. Lenny and Andrew were very easy to work with and they were careful as they went about the house and left it as they found it. The whole process went smoothly and I am looking forward to some real energy savings over the winter. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. more

Home Heatin Audit 11/30/2016

The service was terrific. This is offered to Wallingford residents through the Electric Division. I was pleased with the service that this company provided. They located drafts and sealed them up, replaced light bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs and made suggestions to further protect the house from heat loss. The program also provides rebate coupons for work that requires out of pocket expenses. Dyle and Tom were terrific. more

Home Energy Savings Audit 11/29/16 11/29/2016

I am not someone who normally believes you can get something for free. That's why I was a little skeptical when I called to get a home audit. However I want to make sure I compliment the the people that came out to perform the audit. I also want to compliment the process they use to measure the improvement, their ability to locate trouble spots and the work they did to fix the areas that needed work. Their efforts reduced the draft/air flow by 33%. Further, they left rebate information for additional insulation which can help even more. The team was professional, courteous, and clean. They were very knowledgeable about home energy savings and gave me advice that I will use in the future. I was very impressed with this event, the amount of work they did, and the results. Energy assessment 11/25/2016

We were very pleased with the members of Competitive Resources who did our energy assessment. They were prompt, pleasant and very professional. For only $124 they spent hours replacing all our light bulbs, plugging leaks, changing shower head, checking out the attic and garage and they left the house neat and clean (even wore booties). At the end, we received our scores and a thorough explanation of everything they did plus contact information for services we might want (and discounts!). It was one of the best jobs of home inspection you could want! more

The explained each step of process and during the approximately 6 hours in my home provided significant improvements to house that should lead to efficient and more cost effective heating.
