I took my car in on 12/29/14 to have my instrument panel replace.Long story short so many problems to speak of. Instrument panel replacement cost me a total of $600 plus the mechanic broke my axel clip and ash tray and they took my car off the premesis without my permission wasted my gas that i put in at 6am then they gave me a loaner 10 minutes into driving home i run out of gas now i have to put 5 dollors of my gas in. Demetri Kumar the owner is dispecable and a dishonest man. more

Honest and Reliable 6/9/2012

Honest and reliable. Found them 7 years ago and have recommended them to everyone I know. Brought in a recently purchased used Prius for a check engine problem. It was going to be a $500 repair but they recommended going to the dealership because they though it may still be covered under warranty. (though it wasn't stated in the warranty agreement.) They saved me $500! You don't get more honest than that. All other repairs they have performed have been spot on and the staff is friendly. more

Complain to Cal. Bureau of Auto Repairs - it works! 7/9/2011

Call California Bureau of Consumer Affairs at 800 - 952-5210 and on the menu choose Bureau of Automotive Repairs. You fill out a form with your complaint and attach copies of paperwork and 2 weeks later a rep will call you and help you solve the problem. They can help you get a refund and if necessary they will even meet you at the shop and make sure the repair is done right. more

A family-oriented business with quality work. 12/29/2010

I have used Culver Motor Clinic for 8 to 10 years. I have 3 automobiles, and they do all of our mechanical work. We think they are great. It is a family-owned company. They are very nice people. They have loaner cars, and if they have to tow you someplace, they have a way of getting a tow to you. We are really very pleased with everything and anything automobile related that they do for us. The quality is excellent; I wouldn't be back if it wasn't. The gentleman who owns Culver Motor Clinic is excellent with his customers, and it really is a family-oriented business. He handles his customers like they are family. more

Good, honest neighborhood business. 10/21/2010

I have been doing business with Culver Motor Clinic for at least 10 years. I find them to be very honest and fair. I like the idea that when I go in there, Jeff will take time to talk to me and explain everything that is going on. He tells me the kind of the problems to expect so there are no surprises. I think they are Culver's premier auto service. 10/12/2010

I really like Culver Motors. Every time I go there, they stop everything and fix my car. I have been using them for 15 to 20 years, and they take good care of me. Just the other day, I went in because I needed new windshield wipers, and they took me in right away and they searched for their parts. Jeff ended up installing them himself. I recommend Culver Motor Clinic to everybody. Since I have been going over there, maybe 2 or 3 years, I have been very satisfied. Everyone is so polite, especially Mr. Foster, he makes the day for me. It's nice because you can make reservations. They are open at 7:30 during the week and open on Saturdays. I think that makes it convenient for practically everybody, especially Saturday for working people. One thing I would recommend is that dealers will often give people a loaner car. My wife and I only have one car, and they will bring us home, but then we can't go anywhere. That is why we usually make an appointment in the morning, and then it is not too long a wait. RESPONSE FROM Culver Motor Clinic: We do offer reasonably priced rental cars through Enterprise Rent a Car. They will pick you up at our location and drop you off at our location after returning the rental car......reasonable rates! more

RIPOFF, BEWARE!!!!!!!! 5/22/2010

What a ripoff!!!! They charged tons of money and told me that my car was, ""more or less"" fixed. 2 minutes later of driving, same problem! Can you believe that?? And they had the nerve to tell me that I needed to replace something that I just just replaced less than a month ago!!! DO NOT GO HERE. SCAM ARTISTS. Please tell everyone you know to stay away!!!!!! Not Trust Worthy 11/16/2009

The discussion in this forum on Culver Motor Clinic sounds awfully familiar. The issues include car problems starting right after oil change or service at Culver Motor Clinic, long diagnosis, charging the customer for time spent by incompetent mechanics, outrageous charges and expensive parts. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Expensive parts and labor, unreasonable diagnostic charges more

Fantastic! They serviced my 98' Pathfinder and it ran like new after I picked it up. They gave me a solid quote and delivered on time. Super nice and super professional. Would not take my car anywhere else. Pros: Great service, honest and affordable prices more

You're Great! 12/27/2007

Culver Motor Clinic/Sandee Muffler..They are the BEST. They took great care of my 78 Volvo for years. (now donated to charity). They take care of my Highlander. Thank you for checking my brakes, I drive from LA to North Hills everyday and I rely on my car running good. They are honest and very reasonable. You can't get any better than that! Find Another Mechanic! Just Keep On Lookin... 10/25/2007

I had three days off... I asked them if they could give me a diagnosis that afternoon. They said they could. Well, two days later and a handful of BS excuses later, I still had no diagnosis. Horrible service, Horrible excuses, and a Horrible waste of time. Just in case you were still considering it, their labor rate is outrageous! Cons: Can't finish the job, can't stick to a timeline, tried to change the price, must I go on? more

Not a honorable business 9/24/2007

I took my celica in for oil change, and they told me it is time to change my serpentine belt. Since they did a decent job on oil changing my car, I decided to let them change the belt. When i took my car back and i notice it was making squeaky noise. Since Culver Motor Clinic said the part is covered with 12K miles warranty, therefore i took my car back and ask them to fix the noise problem. Few hours later, they told me the tensioner thats creating the problem and toyota dealer has a recall on that part. They told me i should take it back to the dealer to fix it. I called two dealers and they both told me they have never had a recall on that part. Culver Motor Clinic told me it will cost $400 if they fix it. Now my concern is, the car was never making that noise in the first place. and if it is the tensioner problem, shouldn't they notify me before they put together the part? I would never trust that place. DONT GO THERE!!! more

Great for Brakes! 9/26/2005

My friend took her Jaguar here, after being jerked around at her Jaguar dealership. They were very prompt with their servicing, and the brake job they did is fantastic! I'm hoping Pep Boys can rectify the damage to the brake job they did for me. If not, I'm heading to this place. Can't handle all that squeaking! more

My family has been using the Culver Motor Clinic for years. We have never experienceed any bad vibes, price hikes, or any other shady mechanic dealings with them. When we were in the market to sell our older Nissan 2 door (it needed a $1000 clutch job),we were considering donating the car to charity. One of the mechanics made us an offer and we sold it to him. On top of that, when ever we take our other newer cars in for service, oil changes, etc. they always treat us with respect and courtesy. I haveshopped around and I can honestly say they have the best prices in town. In my opinion Jeff is their best service rep. more

These people are crooks! Buyer beware. I took my car to them twice. After my first experience of suspecting that I paid too much for the repair work I got a second opinion from the dealership. The dealership quoted $260, they quoted over 5 times that!!! more
