CLOSED - Castle Dental

This is my story-We just switched insurance at work so first I chose Castle Dental. My 21 yr old son went there for a cleaning. You have to schedule x-ray and exam then go make another appt for cleaning. They said he needed a deep cleaning (21yr old who has always gone for cleaning- they are free right? ) they also tried to sell me a $60 (approx) bottle of peri-clean mouth wash. It is just hydrogen peroxide. Well, I let them do it, with reservations but thinking also that they must know what they are doing?? So, the deep cleaning cost me $250. I decided to switch to Lovett the next month so my daughter could get her teeth cleaned. Well guess what! Same thing! They said my 19yr old needed a deep cleaning and 4 filling. Again, my kids have gone to the dentist on a regular basis (they remind me often that they need their teeth cleaned). I was in disbelief and I argued that this was impossible, 4 new cavities and needs a deep cleaning/scaling? Well, with the belief that there is a set of state board of practice laws, we did it. Cost me $500 and my insurance company around $1500. I told them \r that this keeps people from going to the dentist (who can afford this). Oh, so they also have the 28 day post-op appt that they charge you $68 dollars for even if you elect to not to return. When I got the bill for the $68, I called and they did removed it). The whole experience makes you wonder!!! . Hope this helps. more

This office was so nice, neat, and friendly. From the ladies at the front desk, to the Hygienist and assistants. This is the first time a Hygienist was able to motivate me to keep up with my teeth and to make sure I keep all follow up appointments. more

The experience was great, from the assistants in the front desk to the Doctor and hygienists they were all so polite and professional that they deserve all the compliments one can give. And the Doctor is so educated and well trained! i never thought a root canal treatment could be painless! flawless technique! congratulations to all! and the costs are so much more reasonable than anywhere else more

I read the reviews, but decided to go anyway, its close to my house, and my insurance didn't give me many choices. I am happy to say that this dentist and staff have found a life long customer in me. I have never been treated better by a dentist, ever. If you have a fear of going to the dentist I am telling you know you should just stop in and meet him. He will change your outlook... he did for me. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist. He could see I was nervous so he explained everything that he did and why he was doing it. The front staff and dental assistants are also really friendly and when I walked in greeted me by name. You just cannot get that anymore. I really just wanted to let people know that this is a great place to go. more

i know people have been saying that castle dental on kirby dr is not worth going there but let me tell you guys and gals that the dr that is there now is a five star doctor he tell you what is needed for the best need for your health the manger that is there she is so sweet and friendly the front office person is sweet as well that is an old office with NEW STAFF you have to check them out they have many options that you can choose from if the money is not right in your wallet im telling you the people that is there really care and take the time out for thier patients keep up the good work DOC AND STAFF I'LL BE BACK FOR ANOTHER VISIT more

This is the worst place ever. First they screwed up my root canal for which they charged me an arm and a leg. It was just not the root canal but also the crown which they insisted on which costed a fortune. The root canal was all done wrong and the crown was not placed in right position. 1 year later I was still in pain, in comes a new doctor and sends me off to an endodontist for retreatment of the root canal they screwed up. I was still ok and I asked for my documents to take to the endodontist. I called for 1 entire week but no response. All they had to do was copy the records and the x-rays and give it to me. I was ready to hand pick them. When I finally called them, the lady at the front desk Maureen yelled at me, called me names and hung up on me. Now I am a physician myself and I know my rights as a patient. I am seriously considering a lawsuit and needless to say I am not going back to this horrible horrible place. If not good dentistry they need to learn good manners to behave with patients. more
