Cozy ambiance, right in the heart of the Italian Market. Chef Todd is fabulous, everything was delicious, fresh and wonderful. The Italian Market appetizer could have used some greens, but it was delicious with the warm bread (Sarcone's ?). After staying off veal for more than 10 years for moral reasons, I was compelled to give the Marsala a shot. It was splendid, with just the right ingredients to make it interesting without overwhelming. My husband's veal parm was equally delicious, with homemade gnocci on the side.
Servings are huge, no going home hungry after a meal here. Service was warm and intimate, and perfectly timed. Prices for specials seemed a little high, but the regular menu seems right on target. Didn't have time or room for dessert, but I would have loved to top it off with the chocolate torte. We plan to go back for brunch sometime soon.
I can't say enough about this place, best dining experience we've had in a long time.
Pros: portions, price, ambiance, service
Cons: nothing!
