Jacks 99 Cent Store 6/25/2006

Jacks 99 Cent Store is a great way to stock up on supplies without breaking the bank or your wallet. It's amazing the range of things they have. There's household products, school supplies, food and even some toys. I enjoy coming here and loading up on supplies and getting stocking stuffers at X-mas and candy on Halloween. I pick up party supplies occasionally. more

I didn't know Jack 4/3/2006

I've only recently discovered the wonder that is Jack's 99 Cent Store. I was looking for a makeup brush and I didn't want to get one from Sephora again because I was broke. My friend brought me to this wonderful place, where even a makeup brush only costs a dollar. This is seriously one of the biggest dollar stores I've ever seen. I haven't looked through all their inventory yet, but rest assured that I will. This store is amazing! more

99 Cents Can Get You a Lot 3/23/2006

Jacks has a wide selection of goods for just 99 cents. They have kitchenware, stationary, beauty products and other products all 99 cent stores have plus they even have a frozen food section. New products come in daily and change often. At other 99 cent stores tax is charged, but here there was no tax charged! Some hard to find things are sold there. I found a certain type of potato chip that I have been looking for. more

This store is the best 99 cents Store ever 10/13/2005

If you need anything from Ankle socks to Zippers this is the store to go to. I like to make gift baskets and Jacks is the ideal store to purchase the fillings, objects, ribbons and food products that go inside. They have great things for the holidays, like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and they now sell greeting cards for 2/99. Upstairs there things are more expensive but they are very nice and reasonable things. They also have another store on the east side if you are ever in the area. more

Huge dollar store!! 8/29/2005

Jacks 99 Cent Store is another place that everyone should go once while in New York City. It's the largest dollar store I've ever been too! The lower floor is all 99 cents merchandise -- and you can really find some great deals!! They have everything from food to kitchen supplies to beauty products to office supplies to clothes to toys. The second floor also has great deals, but is more expensive than 99 cents. more

Cheap stuff and you never know what they will have 8/23/2005

If you don't mind foraging through the crowds for their latest closeout, this is a fun place to check out from time to time. They have food items both fresh and packaged, as well as all sorts of home stuff like dishes and towels and utensils and the like. They have ever changing bins of 'stuff' up front that are filled with anything from t shirts to cds to hair accessories and makeup to socks. They all are a bargain though. If you send alot of cards, check our their 2 for 99cent selection - which is pretty decent more

Discount haven 8/19/2005

They are more of a discount store than a 99 cent store, but their selection is very decent. One can pick up good deals here for very cheap, such as vases, picture frames, kitchenware, brooms, party-ware such as disposable plates, utensils, etc. It is also great place to get cheap gifts such as stocking stuffers. more

The King 8/19/2005

A palace of bargains--Jack's constantly changing inventory contains jaw-dropping bargains every day. Especially noteworthy are their food products--amazing jams and pickles from odd corners of the world, delicious cookies, even an excellent frozen food section. Keep your eye on exipration dates, and you can do very well. And you never have to ask the price more

Better than most 99cent stores 8/18/2005

This store has more than you would find at any other 99 cent store. The ground floor is the 99 cent store and the second floor has items that cost more than 99 cents. Both floors have great items. If you are looking for a gift for someone, try the second floor where they have cookware, seasonal items, some appliances and other items. The price of items on both floors are cheaper than you would find elsewhere. more

Bargains Galore!!! 8/18/2005

Every time I go to this store, I find something new there! The name is deceiving as they carry more than just 99 cents items. Most of their products are high-end deeply discounted stuff. My favorites are toys and picture frames! You can get wonderfull fancy frames for fraction of their retail cost. Be careful, their stock is moving quickly, so if you want something -buy it on the spot! more

Bargain for 99 cents 8/18/2005

Certain days I find great stuff like deli turkey meat from Oscar Mayer, salami, brand name breads, breakfast links, etc. and all this for 99 cents each. This is a great place to shop when you are not too picky about the expiration dates and you are one of those New Yorkers that need to pay more in rent than food. If you buy any food in the fridge section, be warned that most expiration dates are within a week. They also sell things there that you wouldn’t think you can find at a 99 cents store. When you go there it’s almost like a treasure hunt. Sometimes you find something good and other times you don’t find anything you want. They also have stuff like kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, and school supplies. more

Best dollar store in town. 8/16/2005

Jack's 99c store has a good reputation and their stock does not consist of things that have long since expired. I have often found good deals on the second floor, where the nicer, but slightly pricier items are stored, it's still a great bargain. The lower level has everyday needs items such as kitchenware, and frozen food and chocolates. more

Honors their name 8/16/2005

They honor their name. The stuff in Jack's 99 Cents Store really is 0.99 cents, well at least on the first floor. This store is great! They have so much stuff and they are all the same price. Some stuff are brands you might never have heard of but the rest is brand name items. Things that cost 0.99 cents at Jacks cost twice to triple as much. In the neighborhood of Herald Square, anything less than one dollar is a rarity. more

Bargain hunter's paradise 8/16/2005

Located at Herald Square, this block spanning 99 cent store has two levels. On the lower level most items are about 99 cents, and range from gift tins to plastic tumblers, everything you'd find in a discount store. On the upper level you'll find very cheap gifts, kitchenware, toys, snacks, housewares, and more. The staff is helpful if you can manage to track one of the down. The store is very crowded, so be prepared for that. more

Absolutely great 8/14/2005

This store is great, because it has about anything. Food, clothes, school supplies, plants, toys, etc. The best part is that it's all for 99 cents each. Some things might not be worth 99 cents. Some of the things are steals though, especially papermate pens and sharpies that sell for more in other stores. Sodas and such are reasonably priced too, unlike vending machines. more
