The Engine Room has a quaint & cozy vibe. Not the most attractive and accommodating place. You can miss the place as you drive up to it as the outer appearences look like an abandoned warehouse. Great place to see an 'unpopular' group as this place is set up for standing room only and does not have adequate air-conditioning. Get ready to SWEAT!!! Other than that, it has great acoustics. more

Engine for Music 8/21/2005

The Engine Room is the hip venue for local and national old and new bands to come and play to a small yet cozy audience. The bar is extensive and the selection is great. The sound system used is state-of-the-art and is very clear. The atmosphere draws in all sorts of people around the Houston Area. more

nice cozy environment 8/10/2005

the enigne room is a hip place for all the new and upcoming bands to perform. bands from all around the country play there. they have a great bar and a great sound system. security there is not that good as one concert goer was shot there once. its in downtown so you might have trouble finding it but other than that its awesome. more
