I have to confess that I have eaten at Seinyard once about 2 years ago. Not that memorable either way. For some reason, the place gets fantastic "word of mouth" locally. Boy, was my experience different !
My Lady and I dined there last night as part of a party of approx 35-40 people. A sure way to get good service, right ? Wrong !!! We did arrive later than the rest of the party. Our order was taken and then our server disappeared. As the rest of our party (including another couple that arrived later than us) were almost through, we had not been served.
I walked around to see what was up. Unfortunately, there was no person who looked even remotely in charge. I finally spoke with another server. A lovely lady who was not my server. Wish she had been. Had she not gotten our order, we would probably still be waiting. The bad part is that this lady looked like the only adult on the wait staff. The rest looked, sounded and acted like a group of high schoolers.
When we did get our food, it was average, at best,
and did'nt have particularly generous portions. 2 entrees, 2 Teas and 1 appetizer came to $ 40.69 !
Overpriced ! Needless to say, we did'nt stay for dessert, nor did that figure include a tip. All this would be reason enough to not come back. But the
poor service is the reason that I'm writing this and
not coming back !
