Reliable but expensive 1/20/2006

This hotel is actually owned by the folks at Fidelity (they also own Boston Coach), it is a mega hotel that is on the harbor, so there are great views. It is incredibly expensive, but the views are terrific and you can watch the ferries come in the morning. I've spent many a day doing conferences there, so it feels a little big for me, but if you have to stay in Boston and are on an expense account go for it. more

Very nice and expensive hotel 10/8/2005

A beautiful, romantic setting in the heart of downtown Boston. Near great sites like the North End and Fanueil Hall. It is your idea of the perfect hotel. The architecture is beautiful giving everyone--even passersby-- a gaze at Boston Harbor. The front of the building is gorgeous just don't look at the highway behind you. Once into the building, you are overlooking the harbor which is beautiful. The Sunday brunch-time 'Tea' is incredible and oh so relaxing. Serviced with white glove service overlooking the Harbor. Very chic and relaxing. My favorite Sunday pastime when family visits. more

One of the fanciest hotels in Boston!! 8/15/2005

The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of the fanciest hotels in Boston. I have hosted many events there for my company and have always been pleasantly surprised. The service is unmatched. The decor is gorgeous and the views from most every function room are some of the absolute best in the city! The guest rooms are luxurious. The entire hotel makes you feel like you have stepped into an upscale resort. If you are visiting Boston and you can afford it, the Boston Harbor Hotel would be a FABULOUS place to stay. I can't imagine anyone being sorry with that decision! Functions always go off without a hitch - I have always been very pleased! I highly recommend this hotel! more

The finest hotel in Boston 8/4/2005

The Boston Harbor Hotel is arguably the nicest hotel in the City of Boston. With its extravagant arch design and the magnificent harbor views, the Boston Harbor Hotel is a vacationer's dream come true. I have only stayed here once on business and I can say that it is truly as nice as you would expect. It, however, is also as expensive as it looks. more

Summer Swing Night At The BBH 7/27/2004

An experience from last year at the outdoor Swing Night at the Boston Harbor Hotel: There's a band on the float in front of the outdoor stone gazebo every Wednesday. We got a table at Intrigue, the outdoor cafe, while people lined up to get tables along the water and cushions for the stairs. The people watching at Rowes Wharf is by far the best in Boston. In my opinion, it is rivaled only by Au Bon Pain in Harvard Square. Fanueil Hall does not even deliver the entertainment of some of the oddities that appear here on the waterfront. Women with knee-length green hawaiian print skits and white knee socks, men with polyester 3 sizes too small tank tops, handsome men with girlish shoulder length cornrows....the free-spirited, the overly pretentious, the wealthy yet low-class....it's all here folks. We sat and lounged over dinner with cocktails and then a few beers. Our waiter was unattentive, the food mediocre and very overpriced. But the sounds of Frank Sinatra wafted over to our little table, a warm and beautiful night, a cold beer, and sights abound. A wonderful way to spend a Wednesday. So, for a nice evening out, go down to the hotel, get there early, grab a cushion, and listen to some blues or swing for free. Try to avoid the restaurant and just grab something to eat beforehand. They also show movies, so check it out. more
