The Worst Experience Ever. 8/27/2007

This was the worst experience that I have ever had dining out in the Triangle area or anywhere for that matter. We decided to have my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and it was a disaster from the beginning. The waitress was rude and when we complained to the manager she became defensive. We then submitted our issue to the owner, via letter and email. To this date our issue remains unsolved. I wouldn't refer this place to anyone not even my dog should patronize this establishment. Cons: Bad service, unattentive staff more

...iT'S A WONDERFUL ADVENTURE.... 7/26/2007

This was my first visit to ""Bullwinkles"" since i stay in Atlanta, GA and i was visiting my grandaughter here in cary... i was pleased and i enjoyed it a lot!!! (We all Did) We were a party of 18 and were invited into the restaurant like family... It was a great experience and i was thrilled with the view of the place... It has a beautiful theme and the water show was a beautiful view also!!! WE LOVED SITTING BY THE WATER SHOW!!!!) It was comfortable and relaxing, even though there were a lot of kids running around and screaming (which would be normal to happen...since it's a kids place), but our server made us feel like we were at our own home!\r we had a blast!!!!\r Pros: Great place to dine in with the kids more

Worst service EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/22/2007

Had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at Bullwinkle's on 7/21/07) and the entire experience was a disaster. Our ""supposedly"" dedicated waitress was frustrated the entire time. I was told when I booked the party we would have our assigned table for an hour and a half. The waitress said you only have the table for an hour. Once the waitress came out and threw the pizza on the table, she immediately sat the ice cream on the table and left. I asked her why was the ice cream being served with the pizza and her response was, ""you only have the table for an hour"". There were about 10 adults in attendance who wanted to purchase food. Once I waved the waitress down to tell her, she asked were they going to be finished eating in 15 minutes, if not the orders would have to be ""to go"". With (10) adults, she brought out (2) menus. When she finally did reappear to she went to (1) table of adults took their order and disappeared again. I asked to see a manager, who told me that she had been observing the waitress the entire time and she was doing her job. I'm spending my money, and you're giving me TERRIBLE service AND the manager has a nerve to have an attitude also. To make matters worse, the Bullwinkle show was not working. When I paid the deposit for the party a month in advance the Bullwinkle show was not working, but after a month you would think an establishment would have their equipment fixed. On top of all the aforementioned, when I got my bill, I was told that I had not paid a deposit ($75); therefore, it was not deducted from the bill. At this time I had to find my receipt to prove that I'd paid the $75 deposit (one month prior).\r \r This was the absolutely WORST service I have EVER received in the Triangle. My family and I eat out a lot and never have we received such poor service and been treated as ""slums"". I would not recommend this place to a dog!!!! DO NOT have your child's party here unless you want a total disaster!\r Cons: Poor customer service, discrimination more

Extremely unhappy with the service!1 5/29/2007

Too noisy!!! Extremely unhappy with the service especially the mangement. We had a terrible host. Though we had a host we find to find things by ourselves. Won't suggest to anyone. I have celebrated my kids birthdays at different places in triangle and this was the first time we tried bullwinkles. Never want to go there again. My kids were so sad. Pros: free slides Cons: too noisy and had no place for the kids to move more

*** Excellent outing for kids*** 11/21/2006

On this trip, we had a wonderful time. I ordered the Bacon and cheddar cheeseburger and it was delicious. It had a flame cooked taste that was excellent and you get a Free ice cream with the kids meal purchase. (My kids loved it) They have a stage where every 15 minutes or so Bullwinkle and Rocky come out on to the stage. The binds on the windows come down, then they sing and do a little skit. The show alternates between Bullwinkle and Rocky and the water show. The water show involves water being shot in the air in the safely in the stage area and dances to the music. Lights are used on the stage to make the water appear to be different colors. The show can be seen in the restaurant area and birthday area. \r \r The play area is very nice and is Free. It has 3 wavy slides, that my son loves. The play area is much larger than the ones at local fast food joints and better maintained. The play area is for kids 3 and up. There are a few activities for kids younger then three. Such as a toy helicopter that your child can sit in and it goes up\r and down(Costs $0.50). They also have a Fred Flintstone car that is great for small kids.(Costs $0.25) They have ski ball, along with diving, dancing, basketball and a few video games. You can also collect tickets from most of the games you play. Bullwinkles has ticket redemption area at the front of the building, with little nick naks for the kids. If you save your tickets they also have nicer prizes. When I went on 12/27/2006 they had a easy bake oven and a razor scooter. The bathroom has a very nice diaper changing area in the first stall on the right. The woman's bathroom also has a stepping stool so that young kids can reach the sink wash their hands. Pros: Fun play area for the kids Cons: Not alot for kids under age 3 more

Best indoor playmaze 9/22/2004

Eat before you go - as others have mentioned, the food is not worth the cost. Service is not great, and it gets pretty crowded and loud at times. But the mechanical floorshow, water fountains, architecture (inside and out looks like a lovely log lodge), indoor playmaze and games are super. My 4-year-old loves it, especially the big slide. Worth going once or twice a year, especially during a weekday afternoon or other less-crowded time, just to play. Pros: Indoor playmaze, large slide, games Cons: , Service, too crowded at times more

THANK YOU! 5/14/2004

My daughter and Grandchildren were here visiting from Washington. Bullwinkles offered a great place to take the children as well catching up with old friends. My Grandchildren enjoyed their time there immensely and were amazed by the ""dancing water"". We enjoyed the food... and want to give a pat on the back to Shane who was so very helpful in making sure we were having the best time possible. Thank you for a wonderful time. Pros: Good parking, Good & friend service, Great fro children more

Scary 4/30/2004

Although it's a place for kids, there has got to be something better than fried food. Unfortunately, that's about all you get. My chicken tenders were average at best. It's a good place to take the kids to play but for a family occation I suggest you eat first and save yourself the calories. Pros: good parking, great games Cons: , loud more

Great for Kids of all Ages 1/19/2004

There really was something for everyone at every age from loud, active & stimulating to the quieter, slower paced toddler room where even the 5 month old could sit up & play with the large floor toys. The food was surprisingly good although the service, while pleasant enough, was nearly nonexistant. The staff was more than flexible in accomodating our birthday party of 2 younger children & 5 adults without the prerequisite 8 child minimum. The only other down side we noticed was that all the tickets in the world seem to amount to a candy bar for most kids (even if they collect tickets all day there's not much to choose from) - let your kids know ahead of time that tokens are for playing games, not neccessarily winning ""prizes"". The water fountains are a fantastic way to keep little ones occupied & entertained while everyone eats. Pros: age appropriate, food selection, entertainment variety Cons: service, ticket/store, prices on packages more

too frenetic 7/17/2003

Too much! The ""floor show"" repeated every 3 or 4 minutes. There were at least 6 tvs running on different channels. Our kid was so wound up by the time we left that it took a couple of hours to come him down enough to get him to bed. The kiddie habitrail was cool, especially the sliding board, but we can get most of that at McDonalds where the food is MUCH better. Pros: kiddie habitrail Cons: sensory overload, food more

kids kinda like it 12/20/2002

food is not vry good...kids like it. Service is so-so. more

Pleasantly Surprised 8/19/2002

Some friends of mine from out of town were visiting and they have a 6 year old. I have an 8 year old. We took the children to Bullwinkles. They loved it. There were only 2 games that we saw that were out of order. The rock climbing was very challanging to our children but they did it and were proud of themselves for doing so. My daughter has a birthday coming up and all she kept saying was ""Can I have my birthday party here, Please?"". We were very pleased with the service and the atmosphere. I intend to visit Bullwinkles many times and have my daughter's birthday party there. Pros: wonderful atmosphere, games for young child, not crowded more
