Great atmosphere! 4/17/2008

Was in PJ Morans last saturday afternoon, and I really enjoyed myself. They had the doors and windows open, up the front and it was such a nice day. The yankee's were on tv, someone was playing great music on the jukebox and the beer was going down a treat. One complaint I have is the bar is quiet narrow. My boyfriend and I only intended to stay for one but there was a nice crowd, great chicken wings and good atmosphere we stayed for a few and reluctantly had to leave to get ready for a concert. I would definitely go back. Pros: Guinness, Chicken Wings Cons: Only can show 2 different tv channels at the bar. more

Best shrimp cocktails 1/27/2008

To get rid of a jet lag a German guy can't do better that come here at lunch time for a few beers or sandwiches. Also the shrimp cocktail is not too bad. \r I come here since more than ten years. Hopefully for another ten.\r Please excuse my bad English! more

**NEVER GO HERE** 12/11/2007

After reading reviews on CitySearch, my friend (who is in from CA) and I decided to grab some dinner here, well we couldn't have chosen perhaps a worst place to have dinner on that fateful night! The start of what was to be a horrible experience first started when our server tersely greeted us without so much of a smile or how ya doing? My friend and I remarked that she seemed rude, but didn't really think anything of it. Our initial instincts were right, as the service only got worse. Both of us as former waiters at various restaraunts, felt qualified to comment on her service, more than the average diner. We are not overly critical people and this holds true for our average restaraunt experiences. When the waitress took our orders she continued with her rude streak. After my friend received his soup, we continued our conversation, but realized about 15 min later the food was taking a while to arrive. It became more apparent as the couple next to us who had come in 15-20 min after we did and after my friend got his soup, got their food. I politely asked the server why they were served and we had not, given the discrepancy in arrivals, she crudely replied that we had an appetizer it is normal for food to take a while longer. This is certainly not the response expected when asking a legitimate question, especially since she is in a service industry. Later, after another 15 min, she had served the couple OUR food, when they returned the wrong order to the kitchen. Another 10 min later we finally got our food. She made no attempt at all to apologize or make this frustrating situation right. She did not offer to comp anything and even charged my friend for both of his $3/ea. sodas. When I asked her for a discount, she again replied with the appetizer excuse and that since no manager is here she cannot comp anything. As a former server, I know this to be very false. So with delays, excuses, and lies I would never go here again and recommend anyone to do the same! Pros: Good Burgers and Steak Fries Cons: Absolutely horrible service! more

Attentive Friendly Irish Staff 6/12/2007

Stopped in here last week, with friend from Ireland for something to eat about 5pm, before going to the theatre. Must say the staff were lovely and very helpful, my friend visiting from Kerry enjoyed speaking with the staff and getting tips for where to shop and where to go out in the evening. The food was great, I had a burger and it's true to say its one of the best burgers i've ever had. Friend had a filet mignon salad, good variety to choose from. Although the menu isn't imaginative, the food was fresh and tasty, presented well and of the homemade variety. The bill was reasonable too. There was a good crowd at the bar, cooling down after work ,before the commute home. Will definitely visit again and recommend to people, it can be hard to find a non-tourist trap in Midtown. Pros: Food, Customer Service, Guinness Cons: It's quiet a small dinning room and bar, it doesn't be long filling up. more

Great happy hour 1/26/2007

I went here the other day with friends for happy hour. The bartenders were very on attentive and made good strong drinks. It is real close to my office and close to the subway so i will definitly be going back here to for more food and drinks. Pros: Strong drinks more

Chopsteak? that went out with the flood, I want prime 16oz filet 7/22/2006

Not what I expected, this must be a cheap imitation of the one I know. It was a rather dull experience, when I saw the name I thought it was related to something else, sadly I was mistaken. But this is easy to occur in NYC with the size of Manhattan. There no place like the one in Chelsea. Maybe they could try something original. Pros: polite Cons: bland more

Great place to meet! 1/24/2006

This is a great litle place! I hesitate telling anyone because I want it to be my great liitle secret. Awesome burgers and sandwiches for lunch and a fine dinner menu compliment this incredible gem in Manhattan. Love the bar! Get there early because they pack'em in quickly! Pros: Good food, charming atmosphere, pub-style bar Cons: very busy lunch more
