TRULY FELT LIKE A QUEEN\r I got the Queen for the day package for Christmas. I went to the CARY location not knowing what to expect since I had never been to Tanas before. I was blown away and had a wonderful experience. I don't think I could have asked for more. LORI did my massage, I've had tons of massages and I have to say this may have been the best one I've ever had. Perfect amount of pressure and she knew exactly what I needed. BETH did my facial, eyebrow wax and make-up, ANNETTA did my manicure and pedicure. Both ladies were very friendly, professional and did an excellent job! Finally RACHEL was doing my hair, I wasn't sure if she would be able to live up to the wonder experience I had had so far. But the first thing she did was offer me a glass of wine and won me over instantly ;). She was very sweet in did a great job with my trim and blow out. \r \r On top of excellent quality services and friendliness of the staff. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I picked their package because of the great price before knowing anything about them. I opted not to have lunch so they made up for it by not charging for my add on eye brow wax I had requested, and also gave me a complimentary shampoo and conditioner (I think this was instead of a bag that was supposed to come with the package). Finally everything was very punctual. I didn't have to wait nearly at all, only once I waited for a maybe 10 minutes. In that time I was treated kindly and acknowledged regularly. To finish off I was done with my day within 5 minutes of the time they estimated for me over the phone the day prior which made the rest of my evening go smoothly as planned.\r \r I will certainly be back and highly recommend Lori, Beth, Annetta and Rachel! I went to Tanas for waxing services on a recommendation from several Triangle Mommies. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BETH!!! I got a Brazilian wax and thigh wax that was quick, thorough, and relatively painless (I didn't even feel when she was waxing my thighs). Beth is very friendly and personable, and made me feel immediately at ease. The location is convenient and the staff is professional. Thank you again Beth, I will definitely be back!!! :) more

Lauren Lear is the best! Since she first cut and colored my hair over 5 years ago I have never been to anyone else. Not only is she extremely talented- she is one of the sweetest people I know! I have sent at least 8 other people to her and we all rave about how much we love our Lauren!! more

I have to disagree with Ashley H. Lauren is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I can't ever see her being rude to anyone especially a client. Lauren is awesome in my book! more

I've been going to Tanas for years. I have therefore been seen by many stylists. From Lauren to Sarah to Erica to Lori. I would highly recommend this place. I would also love to recommend Lauren. She has done my hair for a couple years now and I love my hair. She has always been professional with me and we tend to always have a good time. She is a stylist that will listen to you. She does what I want and gives me recommendations if she thinks what I want won't look good. She knows her stuff and I will continue to see her for as long as I'm living in the Cary area. I also have been waxed by Beth and she is wonderful! more

I went in for a cut and color twice. The hair color didn't last more than 5 shampoos both times. When I mentioned it to the hairdresser the first time, she said it was my water. I subsequently used touch-up the second time which lasted 4 weeks. (I've never had a problem with color treatments from other salons.)\r \r Unfortunately, it's too expensive and totally unnecessary to be touching up your own hair after a salon treatment and 5 shampoos, (cut +color +tip = $120) . For the record I tip 20 percent and even gave a generous holiday tip of $100.\r more

LAUREN AT TANAS IN CARY IS HORRIBLE!!! I always use this location and every one is always so friendly and pleasant. I was recently unable to get in with my normal stylist due to holiday rush and was seen by her. She was extremely rude the entire time that I was there and made it seem as if I was an burden to her. She had absolutely NO personality.. I tried to start a conversation with her more than once.. If this would have been my first experience with this salon then I definitely would not ever step foot back in there!!! As for all of the other stylist and receptionists, they are great!! I highly recommend this salon with the exception of her. more

Atmosphere, staff and prices are great. All the stylists I've used are skilled. There are a couple of them that did a nice job but I switched to another Tanas stylist because they just blabbered on and on. (Lori is the worst babbler. I won't even go to someone who works near her to avoid hearing her non-stop imitations of her little kids.) I think that's sort of a problem with stylists in general...they think we're interested because we're polite so they don't screw up our haircut. more

I love Tanas! I live in NYC but am from Cary and like to visit when I'm home. I've been to Katie for my brows and my mom has gone to her for her brows as well as several facial / microderm treatments. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the treatments they have to offer and takes special care in the recommendations she gives. You can tell that Katie loves what she does and truly cares about each and everyone she sees. She also recommended a coworker (I can't recall her name) who gave me the best massage I've ever had. I can't wait to go back! more

Recently, I went to Tanas', in Cary, for electroloysis. Being new to the state, I was sort of apprehensive, but once I met, Rita,she quickly put my fears to rest. Rita was personable,gentle and proficient at her job.I would highly recommend her as an electrologist. I was so satisfied with the job she did...I let her know afterwoods what a wonderful job she did. I got my hair cut done by Beth, and I was really pleased by the outcome (and I am very picky as for my haircut) and I had a pleasant conversation as well. I highly recommend this salon, and Beth as a hairdresser. more

I would recommend this salon to everybody! i was getting my hair dome by Beth, and it was THE best experience i ever had at the place like that, I not only looked fabulous after the visit, but I had such a great time i wished there would be more things to do to my hair, so i can stay a bit longer and have a pleasant day with Beth... And let me tell you about Beth, she is the nicest person around there (ever nicer than Abbey from reception) and she is a looker too, but I was unable to get her phone number... Ah well, I'll definitely try to get it next time :) more

I would never reccomend Tanas to any one of my friends or family. I'm so appalled at learning of how my friend was treated that I thought others should know. The manner in which the owners, Jack & Ramzi conduct business is absurd and ridiculous. A friend of mine received a gift card as a GIFT. She called around to spas that would accept the card and when she was told at Tanas that they do, she booked her appointment. She provided the card at the end of her service, tipped the massage therapist more than 20% (because the massage itself was great) and went along her way. She has since been harrassed by phone calls from the managers & owners that the card was not vaild and she needed to come in an pay. As embarrasing as it is, she even called the person who gave her the card as a gift to see if there was anything else she needed to give to them. There was not. Now they are threatening to seek police & legal action against her if she doesn't come in and pay. It is really ashame that they cannot recognize they should not have let her walk out the door before running the card to make sure it was activated & valid. All of which my friend had nothing to do with. Bottom line is the manner in which she was treated is HORRIBLE and the professionalism of both Ramzi & Jack leaves quite a bit to be desired. The gift card was for $50....and over this $50 they have now lost what could have been a happy customer that would come in many more times rather than choosing another salon/spa. Not to mention the negative reputation that it appears they already have given some of the previous reviews. There are many other salon/spas in the RDU area that offer quality service and customer APPRECIATION that would be happy & worthy to have your business! more

I received an amazing manicure and pedicure with Jennifer at Tanas in Cary. I am very rough on my nails because of my profession and am always hesitant about getting overlays or polish because I always seem to chip them. She applied a NEW gel polish called Axxium to my nails in an amazing spring color and I am SOOO excited about it. They dry instantly, so there is no need to be careful or concerned about messing them up when your reaching into your purse for your keys. The color is vibrant and shiny and will stay that way and no chipping or peeling! There are a variety of shades and I can't wait to try each and every one of them. Because of terrible traffic, I was late for my appointment. However, Paul (the manager) was very understanding and willing to work late for me. Fortunately, Ru (Ruth) had an opening so I had her cut my hair. She was very patient with my questions and taught me how to style my hair. The look was fabulous and after I washed it twice, I still love my cut. Very friendly staff. Great cuts!!! Pros: service Cons: price more

If you are looking for a professional color and cut, ask for Rue Cooke at Tanas in Cary. Rue listens to what you want, looks at the pictures you bring her and gives advice about how to achieve the look you want. Her color work is amazing. I am a loyal and satisfied customer. Pros: Light and attractive workstations, comfortable seating areas, friendly staff. Cons: Not at all near where I live....but worth the drive! more
