Awesome Atmosphere!!!! 5/23/2007

I'll be honest....The food was alright, along with the waitstaff, but the sports party scene was everything and then some. It's not a ""family"" restaurant because it's too loud and most everyone is there for one reason...SIP SIP. They're HUGE Cardinal fans! If your looking for atmosphere and fellow redbird fans to cheer with, It's the place to be! Pros: Cardinals fans heaven!! Cons: A touch pricey more

Don't Waste Time or Cash Here - 5/14/2007

Don't bother!!!! If you are dying to see the sports memorabilia hanging on the walls, go in for a beer. At least it beer is reliable; boring, but reliable. Just be prepared to pay top dollar. Guess Ozzie got his beer prices from the stadium. It's Budweiser for pete's sake! We aren't talking about a complex, crafted brew! Seriously, St. Louis has far too many GREAT restaurants and bars to waste time and money here. The food is worse than uninspired. It is bloody awful. The service is barely adequate, the bar is poorly stocked (didn't even have the fixings for a ""signature"" drink advertised on the menu). If you are coming here from out of town, don't waste a stop here. If you live in St. Louis, come on! You KNOW better! more

Avoid at all cost!!!!!!!!!!! 8/7/2006

Last Visit:August 2006We were in St. Louuis for softball tournament. They sent girls to the games to pass out coupons, so we went. Atmosphere(sports) was great. Service was the worst. After 2 days of getting slow service, then receiving everything(soup, salad, appetizers, meal) piled on the table at the same time, we actually went back a third day(it was adjacent to our hotel). We specifically requested that we receive our meals with some order. It was actually worse. When we complained to the manager, all did was not charge me(1 of 25 people)for my meal. Which, considering I never received it, was not much consideration. I've met Ozzie Smith, and I believe he'd be very disappointed to know what is going on. more

STAR-STUDDED 6/21/2006

OK, I'VE NEVER ACTUALLY ATE THERE BUT, ONE NIGHT WE WERE PARTYING AT WESTPORT PLAZA AND WENT INTO OZZIE'S FOR A FEW DRINKS AND RAN INTO OZZIE, CHARLES OAKLEY AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT MICHAEL F-ING JORDAN. NOW OZZIE MAY NOT LIVE THERE, BUT HE SHOWS UP WITH STYLE. Pros: OZZIE AND M-J TOGETHER Cons: N/A more

Best Sports Bar 3/2/2004

I've spent many of a Sunday afternoons watching football on their numerous televisions. This si one of the best sports bars in St Louis due mostly to the owner (hall of hame shortstop-Ozzie Smith). Great menu, everything from burgers to BIG steaks. The attractive wait staff is always eager to take your order and make sure everything is perfect. Ozzie hit a homerun with his sport's bar. Don't expect to see Ozzie hanging out, but don't be suprised if he strolls to sign some autographs. Pros: lots of parking, good food, attentive staff more

Ozzies? 10/27/2003

Ozzies does not even feel like a St. Louis bar. It's in a shopping plaza for christs sake. And as far as being the best place to watch the game... not even close. What about Patty O's? DB? Hotshots? plus many more that have much more character, better value, and aren't in the county. Why not start listing St. Charles bars? Why? Because they aren't in St. Louis and neither is Ozzies. more

Best in Town - Not 1/26/2003

Everyone who had gone to Ozzie's before me has had a good opinion ot it, I don't. when I went there, what we didn't get was any enthusiatic staff to serve us any beer. The Titans and Steelers game was bieng shown via a projector on a screen which was washed out due to the sunlight coming in through the wide open windows. When we did get any service, our waitress was enthusiatic about only one thing- to get us to move out of chairs during the 4th quarter so that she could sit some other diners in our place, sure all we did is put with some bad service, some decent beer - a very limited selection though. They get better bar managers and servers. Down to earth clientele. Conclusion - Service terrible. Not a good place to watch football games. Limited selection. Good crowd. Pros: Good Crowd, Location, Popular Cons: Service, Seating, TVs more

Great Service 12/5/2002

Great service, great food! We were there the last weekend in October. On a Saturday afternoon, with a big crowd, our server was fantastic! I'm not sure why Ozzie's is ranked low in service because based on our experience, we'll be back! Pros: Service, Food, Cost more

Baseball at its worst 11/21/2002

I do understand that this boring sport called baseball is loveed in St. Louis, but this is not nationally worthy of being on such a great list. The food was cold and the service was slow. The only things on the wall were Ozzie pictures. If you want a good sports bar in St. Louis that is close to the games, not the suburbs. Go to Jaques in the Shereton downtown. Now that is a sports bar! Pros: Close to other bars Cons: In the middle of the, suburbs more

Great Food....That's about it 10/18/2002

great food...that was all that was great. The televisions were up so loud we could not here one another, or our server. None of the staff was very outgoing either. The bathrooms were in disgusting shape. I have seen cleaner bathrooms at run down gas stations. Mr. Smith needs to turn these things around. I was greatly disappointed. We won't be back!! Pros: good food, gold gloves, neat menus Cons: bathrooms, servers, friendliness more

Good happy hour & sports bar 10/4/2002

Good happy hour scene, especially when a big game is on. If there's ever a big day game for baseball or basketball, all the area business people skip out of work and head to Ozzie's to catch the game. Beers are cheap and there are always some free appetizers during happy hour. Pros: games, happy hour, big screen tv more

great atmosphere...terrible service 9/20/2002

Ozzie's definately has a great atmosphere in which to enjoy any game. The food is reasonably priced and the televisions are plenty. However, the service is absolutely terrible. I am unsure why waitresses have a difficult seeing that my glass is empty. There have been games in which I have had to wait over a quarter of play or three innings before seeing my server. This is ridiculous considering the atmosphere and theme. This would be the best sports bar in the city if a guy could get a beer there. Pros: atmosphere Cons: service, service, service more

ALRIGHT 9/20/2002

I LIKE OZZIES BUT I REALLY DONT THINK ITS THE BEST SPORTS BAR. DONT GET ME WRONG I LOE THE PLACE BUT ITS SMALL NOT ENOUGH SEATING. Pros: FOODS GOOD Cons: NOT ENOUGH SEATING, BEER PRICES TO HIGH more

Negative 8/29/2002

The most over-rated bar/restaurant in America! The customer service is horrible, the food is plastic and the atmosphere is a joke. Just a bunch of magazine covers with Ozzie's picture hanging on the walls. Rude wait staff. Ridiculous wait. Pros: None, None, None Cons: Food, Service, Atmosphere more

Mediocre 8/21/2002

For St. Louis being a sportstown, there sure arent many good sportsbars....Ozzies is in a good location, always a good crowd, but the food is decent at best, and the beer prices are a little high. more

Great place to catch the game. 7/22/2002

Ozzie's is what a sports bar should be. Good food, lots of TVs, and a great atmosphere. The service is also pretty good as well. Not to mention, if there's a big game, Ozzie's is attentative to the crowd and will have the TVs set before the big game starts. Great happy hour!!! Pros: atmosphere, happy hour prices Cons: crowds for big games more

#1 - In Sports & Restaurants 6/25/2002

A favorite around the country. By far, the best place in St. Louis to go watch sports and have a variety of food. We've tried other sports bars in St. Louis, and all over the states...very few match up to this place. We love that it doesn't just focus on Cardinal's Baseball. It's focus is sports! I've read some upset reviews, and I think the negative things mentioned are very few. Every restaurant has its bad days. For the 200+ times my family, friends and I have been there, we've always had an excellent experience. Pros: Sports Selection!, Friendly Staff, Great Amenities Cons: It could be bigger!, There's only one!, Could have brunch more
