proud of their diamonds 6/5/2007

Prices through the roof. I had a ring appraised, and the numbers were completely out of line with what other jewelers had estimated the replacement cost at. either they plan to discount heavily or they are ripping someone off. Pros: just like downtown Cons: downtown more

no return policy 12/27/2004

I purchased a pocket watch for my husband as a Christmas present. The salesclerk was warm and courteous during the transaction. On Christmas Day, after my husband had been wearing the watch for about 7 hours, the watch stopped ticking. When he opened the watch to look at it's face, the top snapped off. It had been joined only by a poor welding job.- We brought the watch back in on Dec 27th. They appeared to be unwilling to believe that we had not broken the watch due to carelessness. As they have no return policy ( of which I was not verbally informed), the only thing they agreed to do was send the watch back to the factory and see what the watchmaker might have to say. If the watch maker refuses to replace the watch then Badiner Jewelers will have simply taken $ 150 out of my pocket. more

One stop jewelry shop 2/9/2003

Sales people were very helpful and not pushy at all. They were knowledgeable about all designer ring lines I asked about. I was able to complete a transaction over the phone, which was very convenient. The sales people remember who you are. You can have your rings/watches/all jewelry serviced there. They have a central location (in Nicollet Mall), but their operating hours could be expanded more into the evening. They have a variety of jewelery that expands from modern designers to estate jewelery. Overall, I think it's the best jewelery shop in the Twin Cities. Pros: friendly staff, remembered customers, no buying pressure Cons: daytime operating hrs, no website, downtown parking more
