Victor Pascal, Custom Tailor - Highly Recommend 9/22/2011

I love the feel and comfort of my Victor Pascal sport coat. Victor is an excellent craftsman, tailoring his clothes with an eye toward the person he is fitting. If you have a little paunch like I do, he will make your suit or jacket so that it is hidden and unnoticeable. The lines of my jacket are relaxed and not strained as are most off-the-rack coats. It was a pleasure dealing with Victor and his wife, Anne. And by the way, the price of my jacket was most affordable for the quality and service I received. I recommend Victor Pascal to all of my friends. Once you put on a Victor Pascal suit or jacket, you will know why I do. more

First-Rate Custom Tailoring 8/25/2010

I have been using Victor Pascal for close to two decades and he has always given me a perfect fit and suits that wear forever. Some of his suits have lasted for close to ten years. People often comment favorably on the fit and look of the suits he has made for me. Custom tailoring is expensive and you should not go to Victor if you are looking for off-the-rack prices. Also, custom tailoring works best when you stay with the tailor long enough to develop a relationship. But if you want to look your best, the investment can be worth it and, in my book, Victor Pascal is the best in Baltimore. more

Do not recommend Victor Pascal 10/16/2009

I went to Victor Pascal for shirts and suits. My experience was an ordeal, and I do not recommend this establishment. The shirts I ordered were not cut to the measurements they took. When the shirts came back and I tried them on, they were too baggy and jutted out on the left side. Victor said that's normal, as the shirts need to be laundered three to four times to shrink to the appropriate size. After having them laundered three times, I took the shirts back. Originally, he wanted to alter the shirts. When I voiced my concern, he measured the shirts and discovered they were not cut according to the measurements taken. I paid over $150 per shirt. The suits were an even worse ordeal. Victor Pascal sells ""end of bolt"" fabrics at a discount. I selected two suit fabrics, one from Holland and Sherry and another from Dormeuil. Features I paid for like pick stitching were not delivered. The suit buttons were a normal plastic. The jackets were cut wrong, leaving me with the option of suit jackets that were too loose on my upper body or skin tight on the part of my back by my underarms. The pants jutted off my thighs and were too tight on my calves (think johdpurs). Victor became very defensive after I brought back my shirts and was critical of the suits. Victor gave me ultimatums on the tailoring of the suits. When I became adamant about him delivering acceptable suits -- I paid around $2,500 for each suit -- Victor's business partner and wife, Ann, called me disrespectful and rude. After enduring three fittings and sloppy workmanship, I was insulted. In the end, I did not accept the shirts or suits and was fortunate to get back my deposit (around half of the cost of the suits and shirts). When it comes to Victor Pascal, buyer beware! more

Horrible experience 2/5/2009

I had brought in a tuxedo in early December for completion for New Years Eve and was told that it would be finished despite the fact that Victor was leaving out of the country. I gave them half the money up front for the alterations and dropped the tuxedo off. Two days later I get a call saying that Victor is going out of town and they only completed my pants and nothing else. They drop it off at the local attorney?s office upstairs (since they are in such a hurry). I pick up the tuxedo and find that the pants needed more sizing (the crotch too baggy and the pant leg too long). Of course they went out of town and could not be contacted forcing me to finish alterations somewhere else in time for New Years Eve. I was so disgusted with the level of quality and the prices they charged (which was double than normal businesses) I didn't even bother to come back. Needless to say Victor's workmanship and service does not live up to expectations. I would not recommend. Cons: everything described in the review more
