Verner's Auto Svc

I've used Verner 3 times for my Jetta. The good: he and his staff are friendly, approachable and honest. The pricing is fair/on par with other VW repair services in Boulder. The not-so-good: It seems to take 20-30 minutes to pay for and get your car. I've sat at the counter for literally 30 minutes while he shoots the breeze with someone else, poking around an old Vanagon, discussing the weather, etc. I don't mean to seem impatient, and I understand a first-come, first-served policy, but I find it somewhat rude to make someone wait 30 minutes to pay hundreds of dollars, all so they can finish a conversation about the weather......be sure to leave PLENTY of time for the drop off and pick up if you go to Verner's, chances are there will be a wait. more

I've been taking my aging VW to Verner for years. His prices are reasonable; his service reliable. He takes the time to talk to you about your car and your options. He doesn't try to sell you with unnecessary repairs. And for aging vehicles like mine (more than 200k miles), he'll take the time to kick the tires and check the belts to make sure nothing will surprise you down the road. Verner is great! more

We were referred to Verner's by our friend after unsatisfied experiences with our previous mechanic. Verner is honest, straight, and professional. He inspect the car throughly, and give detail with works needed to be done with estimates on the invoice. Our car drives better than before after his work. Pros: Professional and great service for Audi/VW Cons: Office small for waiting, but they are willing to drive me to a near by caffee house to wait. Repair took longer than expected, but they kept me informed. more
