Yes her car did break down 14 months after we las saw the car . she asked it I would fix it and I said I would if we found the cause to be a defective installation. she asked if I would pay for the shop it was at in san francisco to do the repairs. I said no. We would have to look at it . She would have to tow it in, She asked how long it would take. I said I do not know what parts are needed, it may take 2 -3 days .She said she could not wait that long. and had another auto repair shop do the work. After repairs were completed ,she called again and asked for us to pay for the repair. I said as before she would have had to towed it in and she did not .I hung up .Its is not our business policy to write out large checks to people because they say a repair that was needed is our fault, when do do not have a chance to verfy the complaint. To most people that would be common knowledge. more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ALPHA OMEGA -- NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR AUTO WORK 8/3/2007

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ALPHA OMEGA!!!\r \r I was a loyal customer for my first 4 years of living in the Bay Area (even after I moved to San Francisco). Dan and Roger ended up treating me very unprofessionally. Here is what happened:\r \r Driving in SF the other day when a terrible noise came from the engine of my car. I called the local place where I had recently taken my car to have the oil changed -- they told me to bring it in--. Turns out, the improper installation of the timing belt (done on June 16, 2006 by Dan @ Alpha Omega) had caused the crank shaft pulley to loosen, thus causing the crank shaft key to break (very rare) = close to $900 in repairs. I called Dan and explained to him the problem and told him the car couldn't be moved. I then asked the mechanic to call him to talk to him in detail about what had happened. Dan had offered to tow the car from San Francisco to RWC to look at it and then decide if he was actually at fault (he was very rude when making the offer, and I really had lost faith in his ability to do a good job -- see below). San Francisco then phoned Dan 3x (calls obviously screened by Roger), but Dan didn't call him back. When I called Dan today to ask to speak to him about the car, he told me too bad because the warranty had expired and then hung up on me. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! This is a negligence issue, not warranty. \r \r Other issues I have had with Alpha Omega:\r \r 1. I took my car in for an oil change only to discover upon leaving that the oil hadn't been changed.\r \r 2. When I had to replace 2 tires, the tire shop asked me why my tires had never been rotated. WHAT? Every time I took my car to AO I asked my tires to be rotated. \r \r 3. Emergency break was fixed, yet still doesn't hold. \r \r 4. Unprofessional!!! No accountability. I am shocked at their behavior. If I were able to give them 0 stars I would. Cons: Poor work, rude staff, no accountability, I could go on and on... more
