Part of me doesn't want anyone else to know about The Little Hair Shoppe, but they have treated me SO WELL over the years, I want to give them all the business I can...even if it means it will be harder for me to get an appointment. :) For years, I would only go to my stylist in LA because I was too afraid to try someone in NY once I moved here. Beau was recommended to me, and now I'll never go anywhere else! \r

They are professional, relaxed, but most importantly HIP to hair. There's no sense in paying 100+ for a haircut when you can pay less than 70 for a GREAT hair cut. I've gotten hair cuts, highlights, and a perm...I'd trust them with anything. Most of them are trained or have worked for bigger salons like Frederick Fekkai but prefer a smaller, cozier atmosphere. Petra, Chris, Beau, Robert, Tracy and everyone else are an awesome bunch of people! (Beau is my personal fave, but when he's busy they will accommodate you so I've had other stylists, and they are all great.) \r

I had one bad perm, through NO FAULT of their's...I have extremely difficult hair to perm (It didnt look bad, it just didn't take) and they refunded me completely no questions' asked. To me, THAT is GOOD BUSINESS. A friend of mine got a bad cut at Vidal Sassoon and had to deal with months of phone tag with their corporate office, and their service was terrible. \r

If you just need your bangs trimmed, it's only 10 dollars, and they will squeeze you in. Great for in between hair cuts! \r

The Little Hair Shoppe is the BEST salon in NYC. HIGHLY recommended!
Pros: EVERYTHING. prices, atmosphere, talented stylists, great business ethic, friendly, cozy, etc. etc. etc.
Cons: Depending on your schedule, you may have to call in advance if you want a specific stylist, but otherwise NONE.
