Toledo Finance Corp

I chose to get a loan from Toledo since they were recommended from my mom. While the loan was easy to obtain, the customer service has been less than trust worthy. I made an after - hours night deposit of $100 in cash (I know which is my fault, but its how I made my payments for the last 4 months) on a Sunday morning. I slid it under the door & made sure it got within reach of the carpeted area. On Monday I got a call inquiring about my payment. I told them that I had left a payment Sunday morning. At which time they told me that they had not received any cash that morning & the office manager is the one that received all the night drops. I told them to please check again after describing the envelope & I called my mom who was with me that morning. My mom who also has a loan with Toledo called them to tell them that I did in fact make a payment, she was with me & to please check with staff cause these are hard times and you never know who would borrow what. The lady told her "I dont think anyone would risk their job for $100" She then told my mom that they were gonna check the cameras. My mom told her please do. About 5 min later I got a call from the office manager who told me she didnt appreciate being accused of taking any money. I asked her if she had checked the cameras & she told me yes. I told her she was lying considering I was there & did make the payment. Not only that but they never inquired what car I was driving or what I was wearing so how did they know I wasnt there? She hung up after I got extremely irate. I called back and another lady answered & asked for her District Manager phone number . At that time I asked her (the lady that answered the phone why hadnt she asked me what I was wearing, and she said "well we havent sent out the camera tapes to be looked at yet?" Thats funny cause I thought the office manager told me they had checked & I wasnt on there. So I left a message for the district home office. She called back, and told me they would credit my account $100 and she also had evidence that the office manager was being less than truthful with me. The home office really stepped up to the plate. The local office is not a place I would like to deal with EVER again after my loan. But as a company Toledo did fix the problem. more

I had a loan with this company and made my payments faithfully for several months. I fell behind one month and was treated horribly. These women (Gloria especially) called the people on my contact list (when my phone was shut off) and gave them all sorts of information that isn't to be shared with 3rd parties including my debt, what was going to happen and how much "in trouble" I was. They were ignorant, rude, condescending and all around jerks. The loan you get, won't be worth it. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else with better people. Pros: NONE Cons: EVERYTHING more

This company keeps calling our new phone number for someone that does not live at this number. "Gloria" was rude, would not provide me with information I requested to get this resolved and would not take this number off there call list. Another company unaware of collection laws and even those of us that have nothing to do with this company pay the price for bad ethically practices. No wonder our country is in such a state! Pros: rude people that think thye can talk to anyone anyway they want! Cons: none more

I have had a loan with Toledo for nearly 10 years they used to work with me very good now they have new employees and they leave a lot to be desired. They are rude and unprofessional. I will never again deal with Toledo finance Company nor will I recommend this company to anyone, if I know of anyone who needs a loan I would recomend two different companies such as Loans of Texas, and warn everyone I know of just how Toledo does business. The ladies of Toldeo Finance are worth taking the time to stop by and apply. They are more than willing to work with anyone and over the years I have been more than satisfied. They have helped me to pay off my car loan, extra cash on holidays or just extra cash until payday. As any other loan company, there is the forever first visit......but as a current client I know when I need extra cash I can call them and the check/cash is ready when I get there.
