I chose to get a loan from Toledo since they were recommended from my mom. While the loan was easy to obtain, the customer service has been less than trust worthy. I made an after - hours night deposit of $100 in cash (I know which is my fault, but its how I made my payments for the last 4 months) on a Sunday morning. I slid it under the door & made sure it got within reach of the carpeted area. On Monday I got a call inquiring about my payment. I told them that I had left a payment Sunday morning. At which time they told me that they had not received any cash that morning & the office manager is the one that received all the night drops. I told them to please check again after describing the envelope & I called my mom who was with me that morning. My mom who also has a loan with Toledo called them to tell them that I did in fact make a payment, she was with me & to please check with staff cause these are hard times and you never know who would borrow what. The lady told her "I dont think anyone would risk their job for $100" She then told my mom that they were gonna check the cameras. My mom told her please do. About 5 min later I got a call from the office manager who told me she didnt appreciate being accused of taking any money. I asked her if she had checked the cameras & she told me yes. I told her she was lying considering I was there & did make the payment. Not only that but they never inquired what car I was driving or what I was wearing so how did they know I wasnt there? She hung up after I got extremely irate. I called back and another lady answered & asked for her District Manager phone number . At that time I asked her (the lady that answered the phone why hadnt she asked me what I was wearing, and she said "well we havent sent out the camera tapes to be looked at yet?" Thats funny cause I thought the office manager told me they had checked & I wasnt on there. So I left a message for the district home office. She called back, and told me they would credit my account $100 and she also had evidence that the office manager was being less than truthful with me. The home office really stepped up to the plate. The local office is not a place I would like to deal with EVER again after my loan. But as a company Toledo did fix the problem.
