Best Service in Town 1/25/2011

I have had Brake Specialists/Andy Walker work on my car for years and he and his staff are always professional. I live in Georgetown and drive to South Austin because I know that they won't do work that isn't necessary and will make sure no one takes advantage of me. They go out of their way to accommodate me and my schedule, they do excellent work and always repair my car correctly. I would recommend Andy and his staff to anyone. more

AWESOME Customer Service 1/6/2011

I have been bringing my cars to this location of Brake Specialists since 2002. The office has wi-fi and a TV but the reason I go back is that their team is awesome. Andy, the manager is super patient and explains anything I don't understand. The mechanics know their stuff and will happily show you the work that needs to be done based on the computer tests they've run. They're also very friendly. If you're trying to decide between taking your car to the dealer or somewhere local, Brake Specialists on William Canon is the place to go. more

My brakes were less than the dealer, Extremely Happy! 12/13/2010

I brought my Volvo in for brake work. I showed Brake Specialists the estimate from the dealer. They looked up all my parts and gave me an estimate that was $300 cheaper than the dealer. I happily signed the estimate and they finished the vehicle that day. They used OEM parts and my brakes feel great. more

Got my new shocks, It's time for some mudding 12/13/2010

My off-road Blazer was in need of some shocks bad. The guys at the Brake Specialists on William Cannon got me hooked up with a set of four shocks and now my beast can go back out for some mudding on my ranch. Thanks Andy! more

Extremely Satisfied Customer 12/9/2010

The plastic neck on the radiator hose assembly on my BMW broke while I was at lunch down the street from the William Cannon Brake Specialists. I limped the vehicle to them and they gave me a ride back to work. They ordered an oem hose assembly and had it installed before I left work for the day. I picked the vehicle up at 5:30 and was happy to pay the bill. The bill was about $100.00 less than what BMW quoted me for the same repair. more

Customer Service + Excellent Work = Happy Customer 12/9/2010

My First experience started with the older store manager Aaron who is around at other stores now, who has always made me happy..even saw him and his wife in an h.e.b. and he remembered me..and spoke for a few min. while shopping....: They worked on my precious g35, i had replaced the caster cambers and their techs did an alignment..when they were doing that they were nice enough to notify me i needed to replace my bushings asap...with out try to sell on to me (being female and all) i felt no pressure, and the cars tires were then lasting MUCH longer! yah! Then I decided to start taking one of the work trucks there a 350 diesel...now those are no fun to work on..especially with how short i am!...they gave me an estimate that was right on, and with all the work done, it was completed in a timely manner..Now Andy is the manager that handles my ""cases"" and Nelson was the tech that entertained me in this case...I feel like these guys are so professional I can call them buds!...I have never had an issue with this location and will continue using as long as they keep hiring knowledgeable help and great managers. Helped me out of a bad situation of my own making 12/8/2010

I am guy who likes to do my own truck repairs, because I know enough to be effective in most cases. I was trying to change out my starter on my Toyota truck and I couldn't get this thing out. I called the shop at William Cannon, since my parents frequent their shop. The manager tried to help me out, but I just didn't have the ability to get the starter out. They got my vehicle towed to their shop late in the day and messed with the starter for about an hour. They finallly had to pull the control arm and spring off to get the starter out. They didn't get done until after they closed and got my truck back to me that night. They helped me in a pinch and I definitely appreciated it. This situation and many other great reasons are why my family uses this shop. more

My Grinding Brakes are Better Now 12/4/2010

I drove in to the William Cannon location with some very loud grinding brakes. I was almost embarassed by how bad they sounded. They got me right in and got me an estimate in no time. Apparently, I ground the rotor on one side down to the fins, which I got to see first hand. They ordered the parts and had my vehicle finished in under 2 hours. I was thrilled with the experience and I will be back for other repairs that were also pointed out to me. more

Fast Scheduled Maintenance, Courtesy Ride Home 12/3/2010

I had the Brake Specialists at William Cannon do a full timing kit and water pump on my Toyota Highlander the day before Thanksgiving. They got me in quick that morning. They even reminded me of the spark plugs that were due at 120K. I had them do the plugs as well. They gave me a ride home and had all the work finished just after lunch. They even came and got me to pick the vehicle up. The fast service helped me get to the errands I needed to run to get ready for the debacle that is Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws. Thanks guys for getting me taken care of so quickly. more

Noisy Blower Motor Problem Fixed! 11/28/2010

I brought my Honda Civic in, because I kept hearing a lot of rattling coming from my a/c blower. I had one of the technicians at the William Cannon Brake Specialists check it out. They removed the blower motor and showed me that there was a ton of leaves in the roll cage on the blower. They cleaned out all of the leaves and re-installed the blower motor. The blower motor is now quiet and I am a very happy customer. I appreciate the service and I will be back with any other issues that I have. more

My car problems are often outside the box. Great Diagnostic Techs, reasonable fees for labor, and years of reliable service make this a shop I can trust even when my wife comes in with her car. I am extremely happy with the great service I receive from Andy, the store manager. I will definitely refer more people to them, since this is a shop you can trust with your vehicle! more

Honest Shop & Great Diagnostic Techs 11/26/2010

This review is for the Brake Specialists location at William Cannon. I went in with my wife's Infiniti which had its check engine light on and the vehicle was running kind of rough with bad gas mileage. The diagnostic fee was around $90.00 which is comparable to other shops I have been to. They diagnosed that my wife had been dumping too much excess fuel into the catalytic converters due to a bad engine misfire. The shop drilled small holes in my wife's catalytic converters to determine if they were bad and unfortunately they were. My wife's vehicle ended up needing a catalytic converter assembly and a tune-up. After the work was done, the vehicle ran great. I was extremely happpy with the experience and the great service I received from Andy, the store manager. I will definitely refer more people to them, since they are a shop you can trust with your vehicle! more

EXCELLENT SERVICE & VERY FRIENDLY MANAGER 11/22/2010

I WAS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND NEEDED TO GET MY 30K SERVICE DONE AND PULLED IN TO THE WILLIAM CANNON LOCATION. THE MANAGER, ANDY, WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND QUOTED MY SERVICE AT THE COUNTER PRIOR TO THE WORK BEING DONE. THEY WERE VERY REASONABLE COMPARED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY GOT MY VEHICLE FINISHED UP IN A VERY EXPEDITIOUS MANNER AND WERE VERY FRIENDLY THE ENTIRE TIME. I APPRECIATED THE SERVICE AND WILL BE REFERRING MY FRIENDS AS WELL. THANK YOU. more

Very happy customer 9/4/2010

I took My car into brake specialist the william cannon location last week with the check engine light on and my car was running really rough. They did a free check engine light scan on my car. I went to other places and they told me it would be upwards of $90.00 to even look at it.they were able to fnd that i was in need of a tune up. They didnt charge me check out time and perfomed the tune up on my car. more

great place for repairs 8/26/2010

i have been a regular customer here for the past year. They have been able to repair anything that i have ever brought my vehicle up there for.I have a quite older car 98 model.and there are things that go wrong quite frequently.but they have warned me on a few things they they saw that was a potential problem and got them fixed before i was left stranded.I trust the manager Andy and the mechanics there seem to be very thourough and genuinely care about there image and work ethic.the shop and waiting area is always inviting and very clean.I recommend this shop to anyone!! more

fast and reasonable 4/13/2009

I took my car in for an oil change and wiper blade replacement. They fit me right in and were very professional. During my oil change they mentioned that I could use a new air filter and wiper blades. I said go ahead and then was worried that it would be overpriced. To my surprise, it was VERY reasonable and I did need new wipers! I will be back to this Brake Specialists Plus or any other location if I am in the neighborhood and need car service. Pros: honest service more
