Get it in Writing!\r

For products and workmanship I give Spillar high marks. For customer service and salesmanship, well that's where the bar drops a bit.\r

Salesman Daniel Helton gave me a quote for several items and offered a 10% package discount if everything was done at one time. I got a written quote for over $1700 of items and scheduled the work. When I paid, the ""discount"" amounted to $40 off parts and a free part he left off the quote that I had to make a second trip to have installed. When asked about the offered discount, he told me the $40 was the discount and he doesn't discount labor. That with the ""free"" 7-way plug made the discount ""like $150 off"". $110 for a 7-way plug, are you kidding? I also bought other items which made my total bill over $2500. The offered 10% discount became $40 and fixing his own mistake. The offered package discount is what made Spillar the better deal over their competition. \r
I can understand not offering a discount in this economy but if you offer one, then honor it. I guess salesmen work on commission at Spillar...\r
IF you choose to take your business to Spillar, get EVERYTHING in writing up front. I'll be taking my future business elsewhere.\r
