Best Chain Hamburger in Texas 2/19/2009

Californian has In-and-out and Fatburger, Texas has Beck's Prime and Whataburger. I love the hamburgers, fries (that don't need ketchup) and milk shakes. It's all expensive (about $10 - $13 for burger, fries, drink and dessert shake), but you get what you are paying for. Everything is cooked on mesquite, and you can taste it. Moist burgers, fresh cut, never frozen fries, and beer battered onion rings. Also, the new bunless plates are tasty. Pros: Great burger, fries, shakes. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff. Nice patio. Cons: expensive, but you get what you pay for. more

Always the best-Night or day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/30/2007

I have been frequenting Becks Prime Dairy Ashford for many years. I have eaten pretty much everything on their menu! I understand the quality of food and service I receive. They never let me down. We love their prime time dinners. We get a top quality steak with a generous side item and a salad for a little over 20 dollars. I don't have to leave a tip like at those snooty restaurants. I would recommend Becks Prime to anyone looking for high quality fresh food in a beautiful environment . Drive through one of their take out windows and you feel like you are on a nature trail. This company does not skimp or short change you in anyway. I work in the area and eat at this location along with all the other energy corridor employees a few times a week. I can get a fresh salad or the world's best burger! I will meet my wife or family for a peaceful dinner out on the spacious deck. Always a good time. My wife and I especially love the fresh grilled vegetables! WOW! Go to any of the big oil companies in west Houston and ask anybody at random what is their favorite restaurant in town and the overwhelming response would be Becks Prime. I have even seen our trading operations get food delivered for as many as 100 people so they don't miss a beat of the market activity. I guess I'll quit rambling on! I just love this place!!!! Look for me and my buddies almost anyday of the week! We'll be the smiling group on the first table of the shaded upper deck! Say hi! Pros: Service, Food quality, Variety, environmentally freindly design, Healthful choices, huge portions, great value Cons: All good more

$22 for a steak at a burger join? Need I say more? 3/22/2007

TWENTY TWO DOLLARS??? For a six-ounce steak? You've got to be joking me. I walked in to get a steak and was shocked at the price. Because I was in a jam I ordered a filet meal and a filet to go to take home to my wife. My bill was $40. For two people. At a dump of a restaurant that looks like a refurbished James Coney Island. The manager there did his best to sell me on the restaurant. ""I promise you are going to like it. It's worth every penny"" he assured me. I assured him that unless he delivered 2 pounds of tenderloin, 20 pounds of potatoes, and 5 gallons of milk that it would most assuredly not be worth it. But instead I got 3/4 lb of beef, one potato, and a little shredded cheese. Not by the most extreme stretch of the imagination is that ""worth it."" What on earth are they thinking? For that price I could eat at Houston's, The Ruggles Grill, or even Pappa Brothers Steakhouse, and even they must realize that those are far nicer restaurants, if you can even call ?Becks Prime? a restaurant. Pros: They have tenderloin Cons: Prepare to be raped more

Best Hamburger 10/26/2006

My personal favorite spot for hamburgers! Fresh and always juicy and tasty! Nice atmosphere! Good place to go with friends and hangout outside! Pros: Great Hamburgers Cons: N/A more

Not as good as it use to be! 10/11/2006

Use to be one of my favorites, but the drive thru service and quaility have gone down. My last hamburger was a dry hunk of over cooked meat with no flavor, a stale bun and the wrong toppings. This last experience had gotten to be the norm instead of the exception. I hope it is only this location, but only time will tell more

best kept secret in Houston 2/29/2004

Have used to cater more than one party at my house. They do a great job. They set up their grills and cook to order for the whole party. All the sides are available. VERY reasonable compared to others I have used. Would highly recommend. Did their steak dinners for one party. Great quality and cheaper than I could have done it myself. Pros: great food, value, impresed guests more

Glorified Hamburger Joint 8/13/2002

The food is mediocre at best (Whataburger-esque) and way over priced. For a $9 lunch I want them to sing me my order and give me a back rub. Save your dough and go to Fudruckers. more
