I first came to this office two years ago after being turned away from my previous dentist , though I had an intense tooth ache. Longhorn saw me immediately and were so caring and professional. After I left their office, they called me everyday to check on me, even on the week-end. more

Longhorn dental has an awful reputation. It is run by people who know nothing about the dental industry. They do not care about their patients they care only about the money. I used to work for them and would not reccommend anyone go to any of their clinics. They run out good staff because of the way they treat them. All they ever cared about was the money and numbers. In fact one of the regional managers used to be a conveinence store manager. She knows nothing about the dental field nor is she qualified to run dental clinics. When making my first appt with Longhorn dental, I wrote down everything the receptionist said. She told me they were located in the Chasewood complex, in the same building as the bank. When I showed up to that building right on time for my appt, I found they were in fact in a different building, so I was 7 minutes late. During my appt, the receptionist scolded me for not coming 15 minutes before my appt, since I'm a new patient. When I told her I wasn't informed of that policy, she insisted that she ""always"" tells new patients to show up early. SHE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME. After she left, the dental hygienist began to also lecture me about not showing up 15 minutes early, even though she'd been there for the first conversation. After the dentist finally came to briefly look at my teeth, she took off and I was left there not knowing what to do. Was I done? Eventually I got up and looked for the dental hygienist, who was annoyed that I'd gotten out of my chair. The receptionist told me (when she was chewing me out) that I needed to make a separate appointment, since I was ""late,"" but I never went back. I was a patient at TSC Dental until 2003, when I moved to another city (and I valued their service sufficiently to re-establish that relationship when I returned). When I recently returned, I found that they had changed their name to Longhorn Dental. I scheduled an initial examination and that experience was entirely professional and pleasant. So why is my rating so low? Because after the examination they needed a little time to provide my treatment plan. They asked if they could FAX it to me. I said I wasn't set up to receive FAXes; would they please email it to me instead. They agreed. Days passed and no email, so I called. They promised to get the plan out to me right away. More days passed and still no email. When I called again, they told me that they were not set up to do emails, at which point I closed the acct and advised them to prepare to send my records to the establishment that would be replacing them. more

I have been a patient for two years. The entire staff is incredibly helpful and courteous. I had special circumstances due to pregnancy and the whole office helped ensure my comfort and care. My dentist checked on me at home and was extremely flexible in seeing me. Everyone is always nice and friendly. This is the office to go to! more
