Tide Cleaners

I always give a place a decent chance. I never write something off after a couple of bad experiences. But this last experience was the last straw for me, after about a year. I'm tired of spending 2 or 3 times what other cleaners charge and having to put up with frequent redos, damaged clothes, and shoddy dry cleaning. Just not worth the aggravation and time, to say nothing of the insane prices. When people say ""it's a little more expensive than others"" they actually mean about $10 per piece, and a dollar less for press only. And the sky's the limit on ""specialty"" fabrics. Are you kidding me???? more

Mw cleaners is awesome! Yes, it is more expensive but the quality of care and service provided by the company is matched by NO ONE! more

My regular cleaner has been a little off lately, so I thought I would try a new cleaners. I dropped off two wool dresses and a cashmere sweater. When I picked them up, the woman said that I owed $57! I was sure that there had been some kind of mistake, since I didn't know how I could owe almost $60 for three items, but she said, ""Well, you have two dresses there, and they are at least $20 apiece to clean, depending on the fabric."" Wow. Now, in all fairness, I should have asked their rates before I left my clothes. Also, their customer service is great -- everyone there is friendly and professional (the woman even looked at me sympathetically when I couldn't disguise my shock), and they do clean clothes well. They offer free delivery, so, if you take advantage of that it might justify the cost; however, there are plenty of cleaners in Houston who clean just as well...for much less money. I thought I would use MW for a few of my nicest shirts. I have almost all of my clothes professionally cleaned and my regular cleaner is really cheap. I thought I would give the few pieces extra attention with MW. I am not only unimpressed, but quite angry. Two shirts which were new and quite clearly not simply cotton were ironed such that the blended faric is permanently printed with shiny iron marks. They are trash now an cannot be worn. They were also still wrinkled in several obvious spots. I don't know why anyone would find this acceptable. I will NEVER take anything to any of the MW Cleaners and will instead rely on my longtime cleaner which I now realize has been doing a spectacular job, especially for the money. Pros: I can't think of any Cons: Your clothes will be ruined AND you will have to pay for it. more
