Terrible experience! Dirty, smells bad, and very rude staff. Notice how old these positive reviews are? Please do your research before taking ur dog there. I saw a press release they put out bragging abt famous clients... So, I guess u have to be famous to be treated politely! Fine with me, I won't be back. Don't waste your time or money. more

Just awful! Rude staff, dirty, smells bad, and they wouldn't allow me to see where my dog would be kept. I notice on their website, u never see anybody monitoring the dogs in the play areas. Does anyone else work there besides the rude front desk guy? Hope so, because that guy made sure I will never be back. I was a new customer and he started criticizing me for being too nice to my dog. Huh? I didn't ask for his opinion, but he jumped all over me trying to ""train me."" How about being polite first, maybe even ask some questions about the dog or otherwise act like u care. This guy treated me like he was so put out by me and my dog. I wasn't going to put up with that. There r so many better boarding options! more

Do not board your dog here. Park cities obedience school allows Riff's dog rescue to house their dogs at their facility. I adopted a puppy from Riff's rescue that they let run around in common areas with dogs being boarded. This puppy had blood in her stool and turned out to have parvo. She is now being hospitalized and may not survive. Park Cities Obedience School seems unconcerned with the fact that this puppy ran around with the dogs that were being boarded. I'm aware that you have to be up to date on shots to board your dog at this facility, but there is def a lack of cleanliness here. I saw with my own eyes the staff sweep up the bloody stool with a broom without sanitizing the area, then several dogs ran through it to their owners. Just disgusting. more

Thank You! 3/15/2011

I cannot thank Park Cities Obedience enough for giving me a safe, responsible place to take all of our dogs. I just figured my husband and I would never be able to go anywhere again together not only after what happened last time we took them to a well known chain boarder. We rescue dogs and some of them have been aggressive towards other dogs. The last boarder put a new dog in with all of our dogs (a pack) even though they were specifically instructed otherwise and a dog fight ensued. I was worried leaving them with another boarder but was happy to come back to find out no incidents had happened and they said all the dogs did great! Our dogs were all great when they got home and looked adorable in their bandanas! They smelled fantastic and acted great! One of our dogs that went through the Board and Train has come back more social, more obedient and no longer obsessively licks my hands at every chance. We will definitely be going back. Thanks again. more

Our dog has been to several doggy day care and boarding kennels, and Park Cities is by far the best one we have used. Our dog loves Park Cities Obedience School day care and also loves boarding there because she gets to play with so many other dogs and dog-loving humans. She rushes in when we get there and is happily exhausted from her fun day when she gets home. Park Cities offers some special discounts and free baths so it can also be less expensive which is a bonus. We think that our dog is much better behaved since going to Park Cities even though she has not been in the official obedience classes. more

Great Experience 3/8/2011

I not only adopted my dog from there I also use them for obedience training, boarding and their doggy daycare services. Every time we go there all of the staff members know my dog by name (not sure that is a good thing - they probably remember her because she is quite naughty), but regardless they remember her. more

Grateful to have found PCOS 12/9/2010

Our four dogs attend Park Cities Obedience School and I can't say enough good things about it. Our dogs vary from very submissive to aggressive and Park Cities has effectively taught each of them all basic commands, but in addition, has provided a safe forum for socialization. Park Cities especially assisted with reforming our aggressive dog ? seeing her so well behaved and responsive to the trainers proved that she could improve. Park Cities gave us that chance to ?re-set? the bad habits we had been utilizing. Our dogs are excited to get in the car every morning and go to School. I have and will continue to refer friends and other dog owners to Park Cities. It?s hard to explain how much Park Cities has helped our dogs and ourselves, but if you?ve ever taken your dog for a walk and felt the need to walk the other way when you see other dogs walking towards you? the relief from not having to worry about what dogs we might pass or if a cat runs out in front of us ? is sig more

Witnessed abuse 12/8/2010

Yesterday, I happened to see a male employee hit a dalmatian three times when i was looking at the dogs on the monitor in the front room. I told the women at the front desk and one of them denied it then after I insisted that I saw it with my own eyes, she said she'd have a talk with him. Our dog will no longer be going there, after 10 years with them. more

Great personal care 11/26/2010

I recently took a tour of the facillities at Park City and was amazed at the care and personal attention given the dogs in their care.\r I took a "walk-thru" with owned Phil Marr, after seeing the interaction he had with the pets in his care there was no doubt in my mind where my pet would be when i leave for vacation.\r \r PS-- I have visited at least 3 other schools/ boarding more

Thank you for caring 11/17/2010

The owners of PCOS genuinely care for animals. They generously offered to find a home for a dog I rescued, and they took the time to find him an appropriate home. They don't pass the animal along to the first person to express interest, but spend the time and money to house the dog until just the right owner comes along. I appreciate the fact that they don't adopt to people who are gone all day, or keep the dog outside, or display a less than warm and loving attitude. Thank you PCOS! more

Great Boarding and Training 11/15/2010

Park Cities Obedience School is wonderful. I give it 5 stars. I live in far north Garland but still take my two pooches to PCOS for doggie day care or the occasional pet "play day". Both of my dogs love going there and are fully played out when they are ready to be picked up. The care at PCOS is outstanding and everyone there really takes a personal interest in their "guests". I have a large American Bull Dog who was aggressive on a leash and a very energetic Border Collie and now both are well socialized and a pleasure to take on walks, thanks to training and care at PCOS. I highly recommend this school for boarding, daycare and training. more

Park Cities Obedience School Did an Amazing Job Training My Dog 6/23/2009

I did a ton of research prior to deciding to use Park Cities for board & train for my dog, Roscoe. I asked my vet, neighbors and my groomer if they had recommendations for dog training. Most of them recommended Park Cities. I went to tour several other places and I can honestly say the ONLY facility that didn't smell horrible (like urine) was Park Cities. Several people mentioned problems they'd had at other boarding/training places. In my opinion accidents can happen anywhere. My child was injured at summer camp last year but that doesn't mean the camp was bad or at fault (in fact my kids are going back to the same camp this year).\r \r Anyway, I took Roscoe in for training and picked him up last Friday after the two weeks. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with Park Cities when I picked Roscoe up. I was given a lesson which was thorough and informative. The trainer worked Roscoe for me and I saw him performing all of his new commands. Roscoe seemed very happy while the more

Sad truth enough is enough 6/14/2009

My friend took her 2 poodles in May for a two week course in obedience training. she received a call Max ran under a fence and ripped his back that they took him to a vet and he was sewn up and fine. The 10th of June she received an e-mail that a staff member took Zeus home and he died in her bed. 2 hrs later another e-mail that Zeus died in his crate.Upon arriving she took poor frozen Zeus a block away to their vet. He was shocked, he had no knowledge of Zeus dieing. but that morn had removed three tubes from Maxes neck where a very large dog almost ripped his head off. He advised a complete autopsy after he saw e-mails and told her go get Max now. On her return they even showed her the fence. She finally told them enough -I talked to the vet. and he said Zeus was frozen longer than 2 days. The autopsy will be in in 2 weeks! I wonder how this nightmare happens to 2 pets.recieved some news on june 12 Zeus did not die from natural organ failure.more results are due in a week Pros: horror story Cons: refuse to take resposibilty more

Happy happy dog! 5/28/2009

My dog absolutely loved day care at Park Cities. He would scratch at the car door to get in there on the days that we went. He came home sleepy and happy. Pros: Convenient location; staffed by dog trainers more

Great Facility, Great Staff!! 5/22/2009

After trying a couple of doggie day cares, which made my puppy, Shadow, and I both miserable, I chose to give Park Cities a try. Not because of reviews or word of mouth, but because it's conveniently located off of the highway. Shadow and I couldn't be happier!! The place is always clean and the staff is so friendly it truly is his home away from home!! It's immediately obvious that all of the employees love animals and most, if not all of them, have their own dogs and other animals. Because of our previous experiences with day cares I called to ask how he was doing during his first few visits. Each time a staff member would go check on him and then answer my questions. The first couple of visits he was very shy and the owner gave me some paperwork on how to help dogs overcome their shyness ~ and it worked! He gets so excited when I tell him he's going to school, nearly breaks the car window to jump out when we get there, and pouts all the home after I pick him up. He will be going to more

Great experience!! 5/8/2009

Hi, my name is Tenille Docampo and I had the wonderful opportunity to adopt a puppy from this rescue organization. The staff is extremely courteous and considerate of all their clients, especially their furry ones! The facilities are beautifully clean and allow all the foster animals to have a wonderful place to reside until they find permanent homes. They have kept up with me to see how my new puppy is doing, which I find very comforting, they obviously are very passionate about all the animals they rescue from the moment they pick them up until after they are adopted out. I highly recommend that anyone use them for either a resource for pet adoption or pet training! Thanks! more

Caring people looking out for dogs and their owners 9/18/2008

I can't speak on the obedience classes, however, I can attest to the caring nature of the staff. I recently adopted a pup from them, and was pleasantly surprised at how prompt they were at responding to my numerous emails and inquiries about the dog. Because the pup I adopted had been homeless for a while and then rescued by PCOS from animal control, she was a little ill. After a trip to the vet, I was informed that her illness was normal and very common amongst rescue dogs. When I picked her up to officially take her home with me, she was freshly groomed (bandanna and all) and was already crate trained and house broken. Basically, they are caring people who are doing their part to better the lives of dogs and their owners! more

Can't find a better place for boarding and training in the Metroplex. more

A TERRIBLE experience 3/27/2008

These are the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I tried to adopt a dog through them, and not only did they deny my application (for not "staying at home all day with the dog"), but they were horribly rude about it. They even went so far as to say that I wasn't fit to own my existing dog! It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had because of their horrible attitudes and blatant discourteousness. I would absolutely NOT recommend this business to anyone. Pros: None Cons: The people were SO rude more

Obedience 8/16/2007

I owned three dogs while I lived in Dallas. All three went through obedience training at Park Cities. One dog went through three sessions, mainly because he was so darn smart and energetic that he really enjoyed them. I found their facilities to be clean. I found their instructors to be kind. more
