Wish I had found this school sooner! 5/28/2013

Our youngest son started K4 at SJCS testing on the low end of average, and after three years he is testing on the low end of Gifted. The small class sizes and individual attention the children get here are what has helped him.\r Our oldest son is gifted and could not function in his age grade in public school. SJCS allowed him to stay in class with his peers, but adjusts the curriculum so he is challenged at his level. \r This school is several thousand dollars per year cheaper than many other area schools and costs us about half what preschool cost, so it is a bargain. \r They offer P.E., which is being phased out in many area schools.\r Parent involvement is very high and your children are cared for like family members. The faculty is incredibly dedicated and especially skilled at figuring out the best way to educate each child. I also appreciate that the faculty use common sense, which seems to be getting rarer these days.\r A hidden jewel in education! Pros: Small class sizes, individualized curriculum, nurturing more

A Rare Gift 7/30/2010

My husband and I moved back to Charleston just over 2 years ago right before my oldest was to start school. We were panicked as to where to send her since I felt there were no schools in North Charleston that were suitable for her. One day as we were exploring the neighborhood, we happened upon Saint Johns and I thank God every day that we did. Pros: Individual Attention, small classes, wonderful faculty Cons: Absolutely None more

Cost far exceeds quality. 12/19/2008
