I feel great about this company 5/4/2011

I was hesitant to rent from them when I saw all the other negative reviews but I'm glad I went for it. They have been great since I moved in 6 months ago. Whenever I have a concern, no matter how small, they stop by to address it the same day. They have been very friendly and very accommodating. They just replaced my refrigerator even though the old one was working (it just was really old and smelled funny). When the fence to our yard was broken they fixed that immediately. When we had a hot water issue they worked really hard to address it. I've been really pleased with their service and friendliness. more

Absolutely appalling relationship with tenants, deceptive an 7/7/2010

The unprofessional demeanor of all agents is the first thing that comes to mind when looking back (with unfortunate dis-ease) at my past year renting from Realty World Properties. Agents are constantly late, fast-talking, un-prepared for questions or pleasantries and smoke (then litter too!) I took over a lease from a previous tenant when only half the apartment was moved out. The start date was May 31st and had 2 weeks to move in. Very exciting, not exactly. The apartment was completely unprepared before I moved in. Dirty carpets stained from a previous animal and badly painted walls. Requests to clean carpets by my roommate (is that even necessary?) were ceremoniously ignored. Unfortunately, my lack of experience in renting was preyed upon by these greed-mongers and because I never complained or took pictures, I am now liable for these problems. My 575 security deposit was quickly reduced to under $50 with no explanation. The worst is a 200 ""stay over"" fee. Even when we didn't (nor is there proof) that we stayed over. EVEN when asked for an extension for a holiday AND a family obligation. I thought that we had cultivated a respectful relationship over the year. 12 months of rent paid in full and on time. I thought wrong. Not to mention the ignored raccoon infestation. In the WALLS, in the CEILING, hand reaching through our light fixtures! I should charge them for the NIGHTS of lost sleep and inhospitable situation! Cons: High rent, no amenities, can;t fix things, steal money at en more

Irresponsible and Cheats...Go with campus apartments 7/22/2009

Lived in one of the houses for a year with six other people and then moved because we were fed up. They never responded to requests about fixing things, like toilets or the refrigerator (although they did paint the back of the house that faces an alleyway when all of the requests were being made). We also only got half of our security deposit back when all of the charges on it were things that we had asked them to fix all year and were broken/altered from the people who lived there before us. They never told us when maintenance people were coming, so random people would just walk into the house when we weren't expecting anybody. Our friends who also sublet from them went to the office to talk to Alex when their water was shut off and were told it would be a while, and then ten minutes later that he wouldn't make it. They charged through the office to the basement where they found Alex sitting at his desk hoping they would leave. When we were moving out, they asked us all multiple times for everybody's addresses (so they could mail the security deposits) even though they were all listed on the lease that we signed. Other realtors are cheaper and way more efficient--We currently rent from Campus Apartments, who send maintenance people the same day or day after we make a request, and their properties are in MUCH better condition. They replace all appliances before new people move into a house and do a very thorough clean-up. Pros: Nice on the phone Cons: everything else more

best landlord I have had yet 3/18/2008

I have rented through 5 different realtors in the city now, and Realty World Properties ties for first place (with Robin Apartments) in my opinion. Now, I've only ever rented apartments that may be classified as ""as-is"" condition, so I'm not talking about modern, expensive apartments here. For young people, Realty World Properties has decent apartments and they are very good about repairs and also about negotiating rent at the start of a lease. Can't say anything bad about them, unlike other realtors I have rented through (William Penn Realty being the worst). Pros: locations, rent, timely repairs, nice landlord who gives you his cell number Cons: places are not in perfect condition more
