Editorial review from Citysearch 7/8/2013

This repair shop is my one stop shop for my tires, oil changes and state inspections, and has been for years. Ken and Larry always take good care of me and work is done on time and for what was quoted. They saved me big $$ on my daughter's car tires -- same low-profile tire that was normally 220 EACH was 120 from Bull Tire. Thx guys!\r more

Excellent service 8/16/2011

I'm surprised at the negative comments made by people. I've been going here for a few years now, and I've never had a bad experience. I find them to be very fair. They usually can tell me what is wrong with the car before they look at it, just from what I am describing to them. When something major needs doing, they will show you the part to explain why it needed replacing. When my check engine light was on, they did numerous tests to find the problem, and when it turned out to be something that I needed to go to the dealer for, they didn't charge me for the tests that they had done. I trust them 100% to be honest and truthful and price fairly. I definitely recommend them. more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!! 5/27/2011

This is the 1st time I have ever written a ""Review"" DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BULL TIRE!! I went there because it was close to my job, BIG MISTAKE. I had my oil changed sounds simple right, the next morning I went out to my car and there is a Large Puddle of oil underneath it, of course Staining my Driveway. I took it back in to see what the problem was, they were Very Rude and said I needed to leave it. Today I had work done at the Audi Dealership they called and said parts were MISSING from my oil filter housing?? Wonder how that happened and if the filter had been bumped at all, under pressure ALL my oil would have drained out. Looking forward to speaking to larry!! more

Been going to Larry's shops for years. 7/15/2010

Larry has been servicing my cars since we was at Merchant tire. He is extremely knowledgeable about cars. One time I mentioned my car was smelling funny around the engine. He asked if I had driving over any plastic bags on the road. He checked and sure enough there was a plastic grocery bag stuck to my car melting away. I trust him fully to tell me what my car needs and then I decide if I want to get the work done. There is no pressure sales job like at some dealers where they try to get you to replace everything. Pros: Extremely cordial, fair, honest, knowledgeable. Cons: They are human more

Antagonize the manager and he'll pick a fight with you 2/24/2010

The truck's condition was run down - it had 115k miles on it, and it appears that the truck had been broken into previously, because it made a loud whistling noise from the gap in the door, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. When delivered the invoice, I noticed I was overbilled by 60 miles on the rental (it's 50 cents a mile). I told the owner/manager it was wrong and he was unsympathetic, telling me I signed a contract. We went back and forth with this a few times, until HE CALLED ME AN ASS, and then ordered me out of the store. The proprieter of this place actually called a customer an ass. For this affront - the f-bombs started flying (loudly) out of my mouth in full earshot of his entire lobby of customers as I stormed out of the lobby. I was followed out by this man, who then threatened to beat me up because of my ""mouth"". When I got home, I noticed my bill was 30 dollars less than what my invoice read. Turns out the jerk went out to the truck **after I left** and realized he made a mistake on the mileage, and corrected the invoice. Ok - to summarize - the owner of Bull Tire tried to fleece me on mileage or was too lazy to address my objections to the bill, and when I balked, he insulted me, and then threatened to beat me up. I spoke to Dany Farley (919-634-2438) the field rep from UHaul (who dragged azz on resolution to this issue). I actually had to call him back to find out what happened. As of January, 2010, Bull Tire is on 6 month notice with UHaul with regard to an incident I was involved with after renting a truck on January 18, 2010. I have been assured that if there are any more customer service complaints with Bull Tire, during this period they will no longer be affiliated with UHaul. Pros: worst customer service ever - NONE Cons: trucculence, indolence, down right dishonest more

Had my Hopes up ....oh well 7/4/2009

I needed new Tires on my Honda van so I stopped by B*ll Tire to see if I could buy a set of Toyo Versado LX (very well-rated tires) from them. I explained that the ""authorized retailer"" for these tires, Colony Tire, had damaged my vehicle the last two times I had used their services. Larry, of B*ll Tire assured me that would not happen at his store! B+ll !!! I stopped in after they called and told me the tires were in. 2-1/2 long hours later, the tires had been mounted, the front-end alignment checked and the van inspected. Even though I had been told $125 per tire, ""out the door"", my invoice was for $567.60 (allowing $30 for the inspection). But I didn't grumble...after 2-1/2 hours, I was ready to go. Then.... I get in my Honda and start off down the road. The first thing I have to do is raise my seat back up to where I had it because the Tech that drove it felt it necessary to lean it way back and adjust my rear-view mirror. Then.... a few more blocks down the road, a BIG, BLACK, GREASY hand-print overhead on the headliner catches my attention! ...Can you say U-Turn? ...back to B*LL, where I point out the autograph left by his service tech. Larry's response was a casual....Okay, I can clean that for you... Larry! How about something a little Spicier, like....where in Sam H#ll is that Tech and chew someone's B#tt out!!! Guess I'll keep looking for that Quality Service Center Larry. Pros: Convienent Location Cons: Low Level of Service more

Unorganized & untruthful 4/4/2009

First we took our Explorer for the 90K service which was quoted to be $350, then I called and was told something needs to be replaced, I asked the cost and was told $300, including parts and labor. That should $650, right? When I went to pick the car up that day, I saw the total, $1,000! I asked the guy repeatedly if he had spoken with my husband and told him the total. He assured me that yes he had spoken with my husband and told him the total and all was good. So, I paid and left. Pros: Work was done fast, too fast Cons: We had to go back twice more
