I recently moved to the neighborhood where this Buffalo Exchange is located, and I am thrilled. The staff has been nothing short of extremely nice every time I have been in (which...

I like the clothes, of course. They're trendy and always in good condition. The prices can be a little high for ""used"" clothing, might as well buy something brand new. Pros: ...

Buffalo disappointment 8/20/2005

We went here because (a) it's down the block from Pandora Jewelry and (b) we'd heard good things about it. The wife is a thrift-store junkie, and we were looking forward to finding good vintage wear without having to dig through racks of wal-mart castoffs to find it. Unfortunately, one of the best parts of thrift store shopping was nowhere in sight- the low prices. Sure, they were lower than new prices, but I'd rather find a nice vintage shirt for 4$ after treasure hunting for half an hour than buy a vintage shirt for $20 at the B.E. Plus, we weren't all that impressed by the selection after all. more

Buffalo Exchange is a second hand thrift store, just like Arc, Goodwill, and Salvation Army. The only difference is, they specialize in "hip" clothing geared towards youthful customers, and for this you pay almost as much as if you were buying brand new. I'm not sure what they think is hip, since I see a lot of '90's-ish goth apparel, not to mention stuff any soccer mom could wear to work. On the upside, the store is free of that body odor-like smell that seems to permeate the other thrift stores, and sometimes they have cool accessories available at a true second hand price. more
