What can I say about Bub O'Malley's lil joint over on Rosemary? Great people, Great staff, lots of televisions, spacious, inexpensive night out, satelite jukebox (standard everywhere, I know), theme nights, games (both video and manual, ping pong, pool and fuse ball) \r This place has the coolest promotion that I have ever seen. You recieve a card that has 100 beers printed on it. Each time that you drink a new beer, the bartender will cross it off your list. when you have finished 60 beers you become a member of the fabled BEER CLUB; complete with t-shirt. Finish the next fourty, your name (or name of your choosing) will forever hang with the best beer drinkers in Chapel Hill. \r Though it takes 100 total beers to get to this point, I am pretty sure that Bub's carries a lot more than just the hundred that are on that card.\r Most nights Bubs has a great party aura. Seems that a favorite to the locals is BEERPONG... Has everyone gone crazy?? Maybe the new generation of drinkers is all about just being seen and not about genuine good times. Drinkers spending tons of money on just dancing or sitting around doing nothing while paying for expensive drinks. This makes no sence when right under their noses is the place that has it all and will not brake the bank. Everytime I have been in Bubs it has allways been a blast no matter what mood my friends and I were in. Checklist: Beer-hell yeah check, liqour-check (finally), games-check, dancing-check, karaoke-check, tvs-check, cheap-check. What else could a drinker want? So if you have not been to the 21yr old Chapel Hill landmark, just walk up the stairs. Bub's is a great to place to watch a game, drink a beer after work or class, or drink for hours until you need to be carried home. It gets crowded during and after big sporting events and normal going out nights. Pros: Cheap Beer, Friendly, Fun more
