I took a very expensive skirt to Brothers Cleaners to have a seam fixed. I am not sure what they did to it, but when I got the skirt back a few days later, it was two sizes smalle...

My husband and I have been using the services of Brothers Cleaners for many years. The employees have always been very courteous. Greet you by name and always satisfy your needs without question. Customer service is obviously a very important part of the business as is the quality of the cleaning services and we as customers certainly appreciate that. more

Terrible Cleaners 2/27/2010

I took a very expensive skirt to Brothers Cleaners to have a seam fixed. I am not sure what they did to it, but when I got the skirt back a few days later, it was two sizes smaller. At no point would they claim responsibility and even told me that I must have gained weight. The lady doing the alterations never apologized and in fact yelled at me. I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely! Do not ever take anything to this cleaners! If I could give a zero rating, I would. Cons: Ruins clothes, Very Rude more

There is a reason they can afford to operate profitably and offer ""free"" pickup and delivery of items. more

  • Brothers Cleaners was originally founded in Raleigh in 1916 by Emil Hilker, a German immigrant. Emil’s twin son’s, Jerry and Jim Hilker assumed ownership of the business after his retirement and ran it successfully until the mid 1970’s, when they went their separate business ways. At that point, the business was handed over to our current owners, twins Tom and Bob Hilker, the third generation to continue their family legacy. Tom and Bob have been working for almost 40 years to keep Brothers Cleaners level with changing dry cleaning technology and trends, ensuring we maintain the ability to serve all of our customers’ needs. Representing the fourth generation in the company, Ben Hilker started with Brothers Cleaners in 2007 and is currently acting as Customer Service Manager.
