My family and are going homeless thanks to living at Brookstone :( 8/21/2015

My family and I are going to be homeless as of September 3rd 2015 due to that the management refuses to work with my family in making back rent pay arrangements. If they'd let us do that,my family wouldn't be facing this current crisis. But since they have refused, even though a payment arrangement would work to solve the back rent issue, but Brookstone is totally NOT HUMAN! They'd rather throw my family to the street coming this September than to be reasonable and work with us. My family and I have been having some financial strains, but obviously the greedy non-human clearly cannot and do not care one iota. This is clearly a show that Brookstone has no sense of good marketing policy or vision on how to deal with their tenants who are feeling a pinch in the pocket these days. Please,by all means,NEVER LIVE HERE folks if you what's good for you. more

This place is a joke. 2/18/2014

Me and my girlfriend have been living here for a little over a year now. When we went to sign our new lease I informed the office that we wanted to move and asked if we could do a month to month one. They said they were not allowed to do that and locked us into a 6 month lease AND told us when we did decide to move we had to give a 60 day notice. We have had nothing but problems since we moved in. The concrete in front of our door floods every time it rains, and in the winter when it freezes they don't put salt down. Both our front door and our balcony door are not properly weather stripped and you can see out side when the doors are shut. Not to mention with the weather as cold as it has gotten this winter you can see your breath INSIDE the apartment. They keep trying to raise our rent to $800 for a 2 bedroom. I have made countless maintenance reports that never get worked on, and in the rare occasion someone does come they look at the problem, tell us they need to get this or that and never come back. The double pained glass window in the master bedroom has had all the gas leaked out of it since we moved in and is now growing mold inside. Residents are not cited for loud noises all through the night, some throw parties every weekend and never get repercussions. There is never any parking in front of our building, which causes us to park 2 or3 buildings away. The management is simply incompetent. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. more

THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! 9/23/2007

I moved in before they got new management, but my lease wasn't up till after. I paid $650 a month and only brought home $1,000. It was just my 2 year old daughter and myself and it was suppose to be based on income! The lady that lived upstairs always came down to use the hose and every time she would look in my windows....THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! My mail box key had broke in the lock and they said there wasn't anything they could do and that i had to go to the post office. The post office said the management was suppose to take care of it, but they did fix for me. And when i moved out they sent me a bill that included 2 months rent that i was not there! My lease was up! and they are charging me for carpet replacement.....1st of all the carpet was not bad, yes it probably did need to be cleaned though.....and they were in the process of replacing all the carpet at that point in time! And they say the total amount i owe them is about $5,000! I DON'T THINK SO! i have not paid them anything and i do not intend to! more

Can't judge a book by its cover 3/24/2006

These apartments look quite cute from the outside which is quite deceiving. I know the the tentants have now experienced a couple floods in a few short months. It is the landlords obligation to forward information to its future clients. I am awfully upset over what these young people have had to deal with. more

would homeless be better 3/24/2006

I was approved for these apartments in November 2005. I didn't get a call back to sign my lease until January 2006. Since I have moved in, my apartment has flooded twice. The management gave me the opportunity to either transfer to another apartment within the complex or deduct $250 from my rent. I also recently found out that my apartment has mice. Not exactly what I was looking for. more
