Mike, the florist, yelling at me because I did not like his arrangement!
I live in CA and wanted to send my mom a beautiful, ""over-the-top"" arrangement for the Grand Opening of her new business. When she sent me a picture of the ""flower"" arrangement, it was the most HORRIBLE thing that I have ever seen!!! I grew up in Shreveport so remembered the reputation that Broadmore Florist had, and they came highly recommended. So, when I called and complain (which I never do, as this is even my first review ever), it was not only after the big Sunday event and too late to recover the Grand Opening experience, I was expecting a more professional response. The lady that answered the phone couldn't have been nicer and more apologetic, until she put Mike ""the florist"" on the phone. He was upset that I didn't find his arrangement artistic and almost immediately started yelling at me. The arrangement was a huge green ball of grass with red sticks sticking out of it and minimal flowers around the base of this ball. It looked like an alien ant hill, I am not kidding or exaggerating. He said that if I ""didn't want over-the-top, I should have asked for plain flowers"". Being in the service industry, I always try and make my clients happy or at least hear their concerns to fix the problem. I do not talk to them by being defensive and yelling at them if they are not happy. I think that this is an unacceptable way to run a business. I would NEVER REFER Broadmoor Florist and still am upset from the angry phone conversation. Hopefully my mom isn't too disappointed that her Grand Opening wasn't filled with beautiful flowers she usually gets from her daughter.
