I went in for a simple small cavity and came out with nerve damage. When the dentist was drilling in my mouth I was not completely numb. He stopped and let me sit there for another 20 minutes to let the numbing factor settle in. When he came back he went to town aging with out me being numb. He even mentioned that this was the second time this week that this happened with him. I was balling at this point and he kept drilling with brief stops to let me wipe my tears. I finally had enough and he put the filling in. I left with severe tooth ache for weeks. I was scheduled to go back and have it dug out and re done, but never did. I was too afraid. I had a tooth ache and could not eat on that side for months. I made another appointment to have it fixed, and I regret it fully. I was shaking and crying the whole time and at one point the dentist was annoyed that I was wiping tears off my ears. Now I have to have a root canal because of the nerve damage that was done to me.
