It's not enough just to watch children, a preschool teacher should endeavor to engage each child's personality, win the child's trust, and create a bond that will facilitate emulation, inspiration, and learning. And really, they should make a similar effort towards the child's parents, to create a friendship, and perhaps to insinuate themselves into an extension of one's family. Otherwise, why are we sending our child to preschool? If we just wanted him to be able to play with other children in the sand and spend most of his time doing arts and crafts with the highlight of his day being snack time, then he might as well stay home with his loving parents. And thus we removed our child from Bridge School.
