The food quality is very high. Everything was extremely tasty, from the ricotta gnocchi ($12) to the blue chz burgers ($13). The Mac n Cheese ($8) was my favorite. The space is open, stark and modern...I love the warm tones of the brick wall. The staff is friendly and attentive, and though this was day 3 they already seem to have a following at the bar. However, I have to confess that after $70 my guest and I were pretty hungry. The portions are the tiniest I have ever seen anywhere...in the world. We thought our crucible of gnocchi was a dish of relish, not a main dish. The burgers were two inches at most. The soup was a dab of asparagus over a scrap of crab. Everything had great flavor, but I don't think I should be hungry after $70 of comfort food. In the Tenderloin.
