Cozy, friendly corner pub with awesome food. Great place to watch the game. They have quite a variety of food, not your typical bar fare. The best portabella sandwich I've ever ...
Sad decline of a once solid neighborhood establishment I have been going to the Colony with my family a couple times of month for the past 20 years and I am sorry to say I won'...
Not Your College Colony A decade ago, the Colony had a rep as a beer-and-shot John Carroll hangout. But when the bar changed ownership, it also began to reflect more accurately the demographics of its home turf: Cleveland Heights, a suburb known for its diversity. These days, Brennan's Colonists are neighborhood folks who catch up after yoga classes at the nearby Atma Center, film buffs looking for a nibble after a movie at the Cedar Lee, young professionals having a drink and a burger before heading home, and families drawn to a bar that has a relaxed vibe while still catering to a spiffy looking clientele. Not Your Average Pub Fare For many, Brennan's Colony is a restaurant first, a bar second--despite the large and impressive U-shaped fixture that dominates the main room. After cozying up to that bar, or seating yourself in a comfortable booth, check out the menu. You'll find traditional bar offerings (wings, skins, poppers and burgers) as well as salads and sandwiches. The affordable entrees change nightly and recently included a fantastic beef brisket with Pugliese bread and portobello ravioli with a creamy Dijon sauce. Fish is a highlight here, and Brennan's is likely to offer separate entries on the same night featuring sea bass, salmon, rainbow trout, grouper and lake perch. Welcome Wee Ones Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult; a normal night at Brennan's will see a handful happily playing the video games near the door while their parents chatter.
