The food and atmosphere are great! Great for box lunches for all occasions. Highly recommend for board meetings and parties

The Bread and Company certainly has a wide selection of sandwiches and sides, but the price is high since no chips are included in the price. The Atlanta Bread Co. down the stree...

My Last Visit! 12/13/2011

After just stopping by Bread & Company on Hillsboro to pick up a ""boxed"" salad and being charged $14.19 for it, I realize why I previously stated that I would not go back. This time I mean it. more

Terrible Service! Not worth the price. 4/17/2011

Bread and Co has consistently disappointed me- why I keep giving them another try, I dont know- and I will not be giving them any more chances after today! Placed a to go order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived at B & C in 20 minutes and they had not even started the order. The got the order wrong although they had read back the order exactly as we wanted things. The bagels were burned to the point of being black. Staff is often rude. Food is overpriced and at times not even edible! Definitely recommend going elsewhere! Try Sam & Zoes or even Panera! more

SEVERE FOOD POISIONING - AVOID THIS PLACE more

bad food- waste of money 9/27/2009

What a rip off. Ran out of soup but was told there was some in the cooler for sale but we would have to take it home to reheat it. nice. turkey salad bland, fruit tea sour ( manager said it was '' fine'' ) the attempt at flan was sad.. more like pudding. very, very bad. Cons: still too much money & the food quality has diminished more

GOODBYE - PLANTED CITYSEARCH REVIEWS - AVOID - used to eat AND work here 2/12/2009

This company has gone downhill faster than a greased toboggan on Mt. Everest! Consider: Why is there still not a website after two years of ""coming soon"". Why are there fewer employees and higher prices? Why won't the owner answer any customers complaints, etc? more

Saying GOODBYE to Bread and Company 12/29/2008

My family has been eating at Bread and Company for years. Yes it is pricey, but the sandwiches are out of this world. Recently learned that our ""13th is free"" cards were no longer valid as they had transitioned to a swipe card as opposed to a hole-punch card. It was all fine and dandy until they informed us that they would not credit the swipe cards with the current hole punches we had for all of the other dozen sandwiches we had purchases over time. Pros: Food isnt bad Cons: Pricing, lack of parking in most locations, screwing customers out of the 1 free sandwich a year more

I am DONE with this place!! 10/28/2008

I have been eating on and off at Bread and Company for the past five years, specifically the Green Hills location. I have walked out of that restaurant several times saying that I will never go back, well this time I am sticking to it. I ate there yesterday and ordered a bowl of Tomato basil, a side of chicken pasta salad, and a small drink. After finishing most of my soup I looked in the bowl there was nice yummy inch long BLACK HAIR in the bottom!!! So I proceeded to tell the girl that I thought that she should know and she said in a smart a** tone ""well thank you for letting me know"". What? There was no apology, no wow that really gross, sorry for our disgusting restaurant....NOTHING! The staff is rude, the food is overpriced, the seats are uncomfortable, and the entire restaurant is just downright filthy! Pros: Food is average Cons: Everything else about the place more

Undesirable & Company? Yes I'll have that salad with the antenna critters in it, sprinkle a little mud on top and a cup of glass soup please.. 8/19/2008

As a first hand concerned outsider I am just wanting to alert the public of the following health concerns/instances that have happened at this business (not necessarily at this location as I am posting on all 4 locations) within the last 9 months, cause personally I would want to know if someone else knew of this dining knowledge. EEEEyuk. Pros: You might get to eat something you thought you would never have the experience to eat Cons: You might not want to have this experience more

Awesome Baked Goods! 7/20/2008

I live about 30 min. from B & C and i must say, rarely am I dissapointed when i make that trip downtown.(Vandy location) I will say they are slightly overpriced but the quality of the food is well worth it.(the Waldorf salad, and Almond crossaints are the best!) Cons: Parking is a nightmare sometimes! more

Slowly declining to 3/11/2008

We used to get along so well Bread & Co and I. I used to enjoy really good food for a fair price - yes it was more expensive, but you know the old adage ""you get what you pay for."" Well, not any more! I have been a loyal customer for years. My favorite was a half strawberry fields salad, no meat, some cranberry nut bread and tomato basil soup, fruit tea and occasionally I would treat myself to one of their amazing cookies and I remember getting out for around $10-12 but like I said not anymore - and here's why. more

Best food in Nashville 2/28/2008

The food is extremely good here. The employees do seem to be worked a little too hard and they always seem to be short handed. It is worth the wait. The food is excellent, soup is fantastic and the pastries are to die for!!! I go quite often for lunch. The lunches are a crazy time at this place, but as I said it is well worth it. I am hopeful that they will get more help, as sometimes I get back to work at the last minute. Many times the snobs of Belle Meade make it even harder on the people who are busting their tails to get their food in a timely manner. But, all in all, it is my most favorite place to eat lunch. (And sometimes dinner!!) They offer a wide variety of GREAT bread, and much of it is really GOOD for you! Pros: YUMMMMMMMY food Cons: Long waits at lunch more

PLEASE READ 1/24/2008

I worked at Bread & Company for 4 months. I was supposed to receive a raise after 3 months and brought it up to my manager several times only to be disregarded. I was then told that I would receive back pay after my raise for the period after the three months in which I hadn't received my raise yet. I never missed a day of work and was at least 10 minutes early to work almost every single day, In fact I was never late one time. One day I came in to work and was then told I was fired. I asked the reason why I was let go and was told "" I don't have to have a reason to fire you, I can fire you for no reason if I want to"" or at least thats what the administration office told me. The store manager that let me go told me he didn't want to let me go and that it wasn't his decision. When I went to the administration office I asked to talk to the owner he refused to talk to me at all. I had seen the owner more than a dozen times in the store when he would come to get food for himself and only knew it was him because somebody else told me it was him. I don't know how many times he must have walked by me at work and never even said hello one time. I went to the administration office on multiple occasions to try and straighten out what I thought to be some kind of misunderstanding only to be treated disrespectfully and rude. They would only say they didn't have to have a reason. I then filed unemployment and it was granted when they filed a report which they stated their was no reason for my termination. I have never had a problem with any other previous or present employer. I have never felt as if I mattered any less to any employer and was totally humiliated!!!!!! All of the employees in Green Hills that don't have any association with the administration are great people! Cons: UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT more

Worst in Nashville? 1/22/2008

I think so... bad service.. questionable quality.. high prices (which they blame on ""oil prices"".. however.. other restaurants seem to make it by just fine without raising the price of everything by a dollar or two) and management that obviously cares nothing about the customer. The food has seemingly become more and more bland with every visit, and it's apparent the employees are under-supported and overly worked. I feel sorry for them. With those ridiculous prices, I hope they're paid well. Pros: At least the bread is fresh. Cons: Everything else. Just try the coffee.. you'll see. more

Nicest employees 12/7/2007

I recently visited the West End store to get some of that awesome soup, I was greeted by a very nice and curtious young man, I believe his name was Rick or Nick, anyway, he really seemed like he cared about me and wanted to make the smile on my face even bigger, which he did. Amongst all the chaos of the lunch crowd, the standing in lines and paying for good quality food, this guy made it worth it for me, and Ill definately be back again. Pros: Great Service Cons: Parking more

Bad Service and a real rip-off 11/25/2007

I used to go to the Belle Meade store several times a week. The pasta is good although they have messed up my order a few times. Most of the staff is friendly but the place is filthy. The tables and floor are dirty. It is also very noisy and you have to wait so long to get your order. Now they have increased the price of their granola (which I really like but will no longer eat) and they have put it in a container which they said I could bring back to have refilled. No more bags of granola. They weren't sure what price they would charge to refill the containers. i won't be able to just stop by now to pick it up - I'll need to bring the container or pay another $4.00 and get another container. They added a pathetic excuse for a salad to the pasta and charged another $2.00. Some of their food is good but I have decided that I am tired of getting ripped off by the greedy owners. I'll gladly take my money to a place that is clean and gives me good quality and service for my money. I don't mind spending when I feel that I am getting my money's worth. Bread and Company certainly isn't giving me my money's worth any more. Cons: Dirty facilities and bad value for the money more

Bad Service Bad Place to go Bad Attitude 11/16/2007

Just back in town, i remember Bread and Company as a good place to go. Went to Cool Springs location. Did not know we had to fill out sanwich order sheet. Not one person Said a thing while we stook there. Others got sandwiches and went on. Finally some lady said did you fill out a sandwich order. She did not even work there. Then we went to get a salad, we stood and stood and stood. The guy helped the lady next to me, i pitched a fit then they finally helped us. They are over priced, rude and not helpful. The whole ordeal took over 35 minutes. Cons: Bad Service and over priced more

Got BREAD& Co? 11/14/2007

I think a lot of people who complaint about about prices need to go somewhere else. My friends and family have become regulars at the Bread & Co in Cool Springs. The staff is courteus and they know their bread. Their Deli is out this world as well as their bakery and fresh breads and let's not talk about their desserts. The dessert are the most satisfying for the most discrimnating taste buds!! I think Richard, Katie, Thomas are doing a great job at the Cool Springs Deli. Among others Christine one the associates in the Cool Springs Deli is so custumer service focus. I think that girls knows her bread!! Bread & Co will be always on my list of favorite places to eat. Pros: Always Fresh Food Cons: Parking is almost impossible during lunch rush get there by 11:30 a.m. more

Not worth it 11/1/2007

I agree with the previous user who feels like this is an abusive relationship. Customers are obviously not appreciated and I assume the staff must be poorly treated and at the very least, poorly trained. The pastries are quite good but it's not worth the chaos, noise and cold. The place is very poorly arranged, acoustics are terrible, and the lines can go on forever, and are very confusing unless you're a veteran. Air conditioning is still on and t's too cold to sit and have coffee: yet, despite many complaints from regulars the owner won't turn the heat on. Definitely not recommended and I have gone from being a daily customer to visiting very infrequently. Pros: parking Cons: noisy, cold, chaotic, poor service more

Service is STILL horrible! 9/17/2007

I am kind of like a person in an abusive relationship when it comes to Bread and Company in Green Hills. I keep thinking they will change. And they do for a bit - - service gets great, staff gets friendly. Then they backslide. Order takers taking their sweet time at 7:53 am when I have to get to work. Lines of people waiting while a girl toasts a bagel and talks on the phone. Then, I say NEVER AGAIN. This time I think it will stick. The last time in B&C was the WORST. Service was at an all time low and prices were at an all time high. I'm out. I can get the same quality food next door at Noshville. Bye B&C ....it was fun at first. Pros: Good food sometimes Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE more
