Brava Hair Studio & Day Spa

I'm pretty sure that the other reviews were written by employees there because EVERYONE I have talked to about this place agrees that they are HORRIBLE! They scammed me out of my money and didn't even follow through with the services I paid for. I even asked for my money back since they never provided the hair and make up I paid to get done and they said no! I talked to my bank to dispute the charges and she said that she has TONS of women coming in the bank complaining about how Brava ripped them off. They do very poor work and they do not care about their clients. Every woman I've talked to in the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area told me that they wished that I would have asked them first about Brava and they would have warned me! So I'm passing it on and warning you. Trust me, save your money!! more

I call to get so info about the salon, because I am new to the area and mention that the person on the phone. When I asked her about a type of hair cut that I have been doing for years now a razor cut hair, she goes on to tell me that that is not a good hair cut because is bad for your hair, but since I cut my hair like that is has given me good results and then she goes on to tell me that this a high end salon, like I was some getto girl. She sound snobby and had something stuck up her as** , sorry to say that but I did not like how she talk to me. All I know that I am not going in there for anything. Pros: null Cons: null more

What a great team! They are very educated on their profession! I love this place! They have done wonders for my hair, my back pains, and my skin. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I love their products and the time they take out to educate me. more

I have been going to Brava for several months, and have yet to leave not feeling like a million bucks. The staff is always friendly and professional, and the services are top notch. I love the ladies nights they have - offering mini-services at discounted prices. It's a great way to get together with friends, and have a girls night out! They even helped put together a private ladies night for myself and my friends - and were very accommodating to our schedule and our budgets. I always have lots of pressure built up in my neck and shoulder muscles. It always seemed like every time I got a massage it would come back a couple days later. After I had went to Brava and had a massage with Kate my pain started to slowly not come back. Now that I have been going to Kate at Brava for a year my pain is no longer there and I can finally go to my massages with Kate for relaxation. I am so glad that my friend had referred me to Brava. After all the money I have spent else where I am grateful to have found Kate. What a god send! more

Believe it or not I found out about Brava at a motorcycle poker run! Since I was the only girl there I automatically won the salon gift certificate! Having recently had a hole (i kid you not) cut into the side of my hair by another salon I was hesitant to try any place else. But I made an appointment a few weeks later with Lisa and I was completely impressed! I loved the salon, I loved lisa and most importantly I LOVED my hair cut. Lisa has been cutting my hair for years and has cut it when its long, cut it all off for me at one point and even did my hair for my wedding. All of which I have been completely impressed with. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience in the two years she has been cutting my hair! I have also had massages at the salon and been very impressed with her staff. more

I found Brava by accident a few years ago after returning from a trip to Pittsburgh, where I was talked into coloring my hair for the first time. (I know, what was I thinking??). I came home with a color I can't describe without a box of Crayola Crayons. I found Brava in the phone book and chose them because they offered "color correction". I was a little intimidated when I first arrived because I'm not a "fancy salon" person but my fears were instantly put to rest. I have continued to have wonderful experiences every time I go. They are all so nice and make me feel right at ease. I get so many compliments on my hair now that I would never think of going elsewhere. This salon is tops! more

I chose this place because they use the same color as my old salon (which I absolutely love) in a different state. Tara colored and cut my hair. The cut is the cut I've had for a while, she just trimmed it up a bit though once I got home, I had to cut a few random long pieces.. not ideal, but not a huge deal. The color, however, is a huge disappointment. I noticed while she was coloring it that she wasn't putting as much foil in it as I normally get, I also noticed that she didn't put ANY foil/color in the front piece where I part my hair. I didn't say anything because she's the professional, not me, I figured she knew more than I did about this, especially working at a high end salon. The color itself isn't bad, but my roots actually look WORSE than before I had them colored. The piece in the front that she didn't color at all sticks out like a sore thumb and everywhere else, I still have an inch of roots. My husband even noticed that my roots look worse than before. It's like she touched up my color every where BUT my roots. Super sweet girl, I enjoyed my time with her, but I won't be back. Should've listened to the bad review on Yelp before I went and spent $150 to make my roots look WORSE! more
