I had been to Boylan Bridge for a few adult beverages but never for dinner. Then I saw that there was a Groupon so I decided to give it a try.
I ordered the Grilled Romaine Wedge and my date had the Spicy Chicken Philly, along with a flight of beer. When the flight arrived and we ordered our meal, we asked for 2 glasses of water.
Just when we were finishing the flight our food arrived and I reminded our waiter about the water we had requested, as this was the first time he came back to check on us.
The Romaine Wedge was not grilled, it was burned and was stringy. I thought if I could cut it up and mix the crunchy veins in the lettuce with the wilted parts it would not be as bad. Well, I couldn't tell you because when i flagged the waiter down to ask for a knife he told me that they only have butter knives...which is what I already had (consequently butter knives are NOT for cutting).
The Chicken Philly was dry so my date requested mayonnaise, which made it a little better but the bread was so chewy it was like he was ripping it with his teeth.
Neither of us finished out meal...there was half of a sandwich (he said his teeth were sore from all the ripping) and my salad was hardly touched.
The waiter never asked how everything was, and didn't even ask when he saw that we had not eaten our food. When he brought the check, he brought the water (Thanks.).
Even though it was a groupon deal, I still feel ripped off. Poor service, bad food, no knives....No Thank you.
