Fair prices and good quality lumber. Beats any of the local hardware stores. The staff are not the fastest workers, but they are polite and will work with you. They will cut pieces to size for you. And they keep a stock of smaller cut plywood sheets, in case you don't need a full sheet. more

If not for location, they'd be perfect! 8/20/2005

If there was private parking and/or it wasn't located in a madhouse and street parking was adequate I would buy everything here. Unfortunately that isn't a case and it's a pity. Their prices are reasonable and they offer a wide selection of any and all home improvement and even commercial construction needs - I just can't see myself trying to lug plywood or drywall on the subway because I don't want a $115 parking (or double parking) ticket! more

Good 8/19/2005

Bowery Building Supply is located a few blocks off of Houston. They sell all sorts of lumber, tools and other supplies that one would need to remodel or fix up their home. It has wide variety of products and they always have whatever you have a need for at the time because they have a deep stock area. Their prices are very reasonable, to the point that the Home Depot is no longer of any use to me more
