A bookstore to focus on women subject 8/19/2005

Book woman is a specialist bookstore, they focus on women related subject., in other word, I think this is a bookstore for women. They also have bookgroups can get together in the store to discuss a topic, this sounds good, but I never take part in. If you are looking for some book related women subject, this place is a good choice. more

Very Specialized 8/16/2005

Book Woman is the type of book store that is becoming more rare these days. Instead of being an all purpose book seller they focus on one topic: woman's studies and feminism. They carry a wide array from writings the pre-date the term "feminist" to the modern thinkers of today. Books on the history of women's movements, biographies of women that changed the world, and philosophy can all be found here. If you're looking for a book on a feminist topic you're more likely to find it here than any other place in town. I've heard stories of the staff being rude to male customers but I've had nothing but friendly studies. more
