Absolutely Wonderful 11/25/2009

Last minute, day before Thanksgiving, house in total chaos...... getting ready for a full load of guests and the dog is leaving a trail of hair wherever she goes. Called Bishop Arts and they said to get her in as quickly as possible............\r \r Found the staff incredibly friendly, courteous, professional. Their services were explained to me, no hidden surprises, I left knowing my little girl would be taken care of..........\r \r Found the price incredibly fair, especially for whay they accomplished. And what a beautiful job they did. My 13 year old Am. Eskimo came out playing like a puppy, not trembling, and not hand shy. This tells me she was very well taken care of while in the salon. That is even more important to me than how pretty she looks.\r \r SHNBOI, did you learn nothing from Bob Barker? Everyone should spay or neuter their pets.\r \r I will be returning regularly with her and my two other dogs. Pros: CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL, FANTASTIC WORK more

Best of the Best 10/6/2009

I've been to many different groomers and have tried to find someone who knew how to groom my Bichon properly. I had heard about this place, but when I got there, I saw all the trophies and realized that Greg had actually won the Bichon Frise National Specialty. I was also very impressed with price, as I had expected to pay much more. Pros: Best of the Best Cons: I live in Plano, so this is a drive for me. more

The BEST grooming I've seen in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex! 1/26/2009

I went into this grooming salon the other day on a whim hoping to get my dog jujubee in because we were going to the dog park, and she was looking a mess. I was greeted with warm faces and quick attentive service. After a little while, my princess was back and more gorgeous than ever. I would recommend this salon to anyone who cares about their dog. The attention to detail was amazing, mucho mucho good!!! The prices were very competitive too! Pros: Great service Cons: I wish it was closer to where I live. more

Multiple Best In Show Winner Quality Groomer 1/11/2009

If the review below is in fact a legitimate review, please contact me. I am the owner of Bishop Arts Dog Grooming. I suspect this not a legitimate review because I have NEVER had a single customer complain to me about my schnauzer trims. I have won multiple Best in Shows for my schnauzer work, and judged dog shows internationally including EuroDog 2008 in Budapest and actually have contributed to the official illustrated standard for the Giant Schnauzer trim by the Giant Schnauzer Club of America which has recently been published. I have also been invted to give a grooming seminar in February 2009 to teach other groomers how to groom the Schnauzer correctly. Please Visit my website. gregreyna.c o m you will see my multiple best in show win photos for Schnauzers. I have judged the Bichon Frise sweepstakes, and also won the Bichon Frise National Specialty. I have judged several Collie specialty sweepstakes, Poodles sweepstakes, including the Lone Star Poodle Club Sweepstakes. I love dogs and my entire career has been dedicated to conditioning dogs both physically and mentally for show. Currently, I have an oak cliff mutt which is a part of my family as well as a sharpei. more

Overpriced and my dogs sick now 12/28/2008

I have a dog who has gone to Greg's place for his third groom. Each time I ask for specific things to get done and each time they don't. I went to Greg because I heard ""he was the best in the business"", but when I pay $65 for my schnauzer to be groomed, and he has to be there in a kennel all day, I'd expect ""the best"" would know to trim his nails, or to not leave matts. I hope the best for him, but there are better fits for me out there. Pros: Overpriced and still don't get what you want Cons: close to home more

I've tried other places, but this is the absolute best in town! 12/20/2008

Ok, I must admit, I did try going to a new ""fancy"" shop that opened recently because of all the hype, but all the hype didn't make my girl look like Greg does. No one can touch his grooming. He truly does the best groom in town. Another lady picking up her dog at the same time I was picking up mine was driving in from Austin...yes, he's that good. Pros: You can tell they are true dog lovers and not just in it for the money Cons: Not a snotty facility, but service and quality cannot be beat. Hands down. more

Clearing the Air 12/1/2008

TO ALL FUTURE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, please allow me to clear the air on a negative review placed by SHNBOI.\r This negative review I feel am partly to blame. I happened to be doing some handy work for the owner of Bishop Grooming (whom is also a friend of mine) that this negative ad has been placed. While I was doing work for Bishop Grooming I asked the owner if I could place my wedding ring in the register. Greg agreed and stated that he trusted everyone in his shop. After working that day I realized my wedding ring was still in the register. When I showed up the next day and checked the register it was not there. After talking to SHNBOI (an employee at the time) he stated that the ring was placed in a tin by the register. After looking and looking and looking with four other employees the ring was nowhere to be found. He stated he would be that morning to locate the ring and no-showed and didn't return calls. I felt offended because my wife has known SHNBOI since he was a kid. After showing up the next day he found my ring magically after pulling it out of the waistband of his pants on the floor under the register. SHNBOI and I had a serious talk about being labeled a punk and SHNBOI shed tears and apologized and stated if he knew that the ring was mine he would have never taken it. My POINT TO HIM was that he took it out of the register, which is no different than stealing from his employer's pocket. A series of events soon after these events led to his dismissal and the bitter review that you have seen stems from this incident. Pros: Judge for yourself Cons: Judge for yourself more

Great Service 8/2/2008

I have used Bishop Arts for about a year now. They have always provided great service. Very pleased with their work. more

Be honest, that's all I've asked 6/17/2008

My groomer, Steve, is no longer at Bishop Grooming. Two weeks ago, I took my furry Tucker to get groomed and asked if Steve was avalible to groom him. I was told yes, and went on my way. Steve has ALWAYS taken the best care of Tucker and I ALWAY knew that Tucker would come back better than ever. Tucker is a ""special needs"" pet, after a horrible experience at another local shop. Steve understood his needs and mine, for that matter. When I returned to pick up tucker, I asked to see Steve. the response I received shocked me. I was told (by someone other than Greg), that Steve was not there that day, in fact he had called in sick. Floored by the fact that I was told that Steve was there when I came in, but was to busy to come up and see me, I questioned it. When i called I was told Steve was still working there, but after reading this months cliif dweller, I find that Steve is somewhere new. My biggest disappointment is that I asked and was put to ease just to find out that someone who knows nothing about Tucker took care of him, and there was not the case. More so is that the owner would say anything to make money. Tucker won't be back to see you and all you had to do was tell me the truth. Pros: They don't tell customer the truth Cons: they where close to home, but it's worth driving somewhere else more

Great Groomers, Great service 6/10/2008

I have been using Bishop Arts Dog Groomers for since May of 2006. They are consistently great and always comment on how well I am doing or things I could improve with Maxwell, my Schnauzer, (I like to feed him too much) They are always very gracious and treat me with a smile everytime. Max always looks great and comes back very alert and perky. The grooms last for some time as well, my dog smells very good for up to two weeks. Wandered to Petropolitan for one visit and realized what a great cut he got at Bishop Arts. They are great and I have no complaints at all.\r Mike Bates Pros: Service, product, convienience Cons: Used to call every month to schedule, I miss that more

BEST SHOP IN TOWN HANDS DOWN!! (Great groomers, amazing customer service 4/18/2008

After trying 12 different groomers in the DFW area I felt finding Greg Reyna was a God send.It was as if Micheal Angelo had scissors and groomed my precious angel! After numerous attempts at grooming shops throuhgout the DFW (all with second rate groomers) the icing on the cake was the wonderful personal attention I recieved from ALL staff and amazing attention to detail my angel recieved and yours should too. Brought to me in loving arms with wagging tail, this confirmed my feelings that we had found the best grooming salon (Bishop Arts Dog Grooming) in all the world! more

Terrible Groomer and Terrible Customer Service 2/22/2008

Terrible Groomer and Terrible Customer Service\r \r I took my full haired dogs in for grooming and these groomers for some unknown reason decided to shave my dog?s testicles. In the process of doing so they cut his testicles. When I picked him up from the groomer, he was obviously in pain. However, this establishment told me he must have worms. After going home, his pains and cries worsened and I returned to the groomers. They acknowledged that his testicles were inflamed and told me that they would reimburse his medical bills. The vetinarian noted that he had been injured and treated him with antibiotics and steroids. I next tried multiple times to reach the owner of this establishment (Greg Reyna )who did not return my calls for over a week. When he finally returned my call, he was rude, condescending and seemed completely uninterested in the welfare of my dog. After many days of complaints the owner finally agreed to reimburse my vet bill. However, when I went to pick up the check at the time we had agreed on, he was not available. After finally making a surprise visit he begrudgingly wrote me a check which he later stopped payment on. I found Bishop Arts Dog Grooming to be an unpleasant experience with second rate groomers and to be an establishment with shady business practices. I will never return and advise anyone that reads this review to spare your pet from this agonizing experience. \r more

Beau's Review 4/29/2006

Great personal attention to each dog. Excellent grooming and attention to details...they always ask what is to be done (i.e ""same as last time, file nails"" etc.) and keep client cards on each dog. Greg and his staff are friendly and always courteous. Beau loves them and like the neckerchiefs he gets each time he goes! more
