Mister A's

I made reservations week's in advance asking for a great view for our guests. Told it was first come first serve. So we arrived early for our reservations and our guests even earlier. Apparently they don't look at requests, don't care or just don't tell the truth. We were escorted past at least ten empty tables with great views to a table in the corner with no view . We asked about a table with a view since the place was 1/4 empty and were told we would now have to wait even though many tables were open. We were told they were "reserved". I thought that was odd since we could not reserve a table. The food was Ok at best, Had the duck, may as well as gone to Albertson's and bought a chicken from the deli, the others said that their meal was nothing special, the server was attentive and very nice. But you are paying for the view, so without one, why bother overpay for food that is just OK. Go somewhere else , not be lied to and enjoy a better meal. more

The Animal Protection and Rescue League asks you to boycott this restaurant to help stop animal cruelty. Mr. A's continues to serve fois gras, the liver of ducks or geese which have endured weeks of force feeding, performed by jamming large metal pipes down their throats and filling them with massive quantities of food. This is the equivalent of forcing a 150 pound human to eat 60 pounds of food per day. The livers of these poor birds swell up to ten times their normal size, inducing a disease called "hepatic lipidosis". These fattened, diseased livers are served as foie gras. Please call Mr. A's and inquire if they are still serving fois gras. If so, then please let them know that you choose not to patronize restaurants which engage in this horrific cruelty. A classy high rise restaurant that recently had a huge makeover to update it's restaurant and look more modern. Mister A's is quite elegant and is definitely a place to go on a first date or to impress a client. They're open for lunch and dinner and offer pricey but elegant and outstanding entrees. Lunch at Mister A's is breath taking due to the entire restaurant has windows surrounding it on this hgh rise building. From any angle you can see planes coming and going from San Diego airport. It's quite a marvel and something that will impress your client over drinks. Parking is plentiful in the multi level parking garage and you take an elevator up to the restaurant. more
