My experience purchasing a vehicle at Bertera Subaru is the way it should be everywhere. Purchasing a vehicle, new or used is supposed to be a fun experience, however, over the years, it has become almost painful at most dealerships. Everyone at Betera, from my salesperson, Darrin to the GM, Shawn were extremely accommodating, friendly, professional and really made my buying experience an enjoyable one. Subaru is a quality vehicle and Bertera is a quality dealership! If you haven't gone there yet, you owe it to yourself to put it on your short list! more

Fantastic Service from the Service Dept New Year's eve snowstorm, I locked my keys in my outback with the car running. I knew I didn't have a prayer with AAA, so I came back into the office and called Bertera Subaru where I bought the car. They were getting ready to leave early, but the Service Dept made a key and the Service Mgr., Joe Newton, drove to my office, picked me up and brought me to my car (the cleanest and warmest in the parking lot--did not have to scrape it off since it had been running for about 45 minutes). This was above and beyond the call of duty and I have told everyone who will listen what a good experience I had. Thank you more

My 2001 Jetta finally died after 10 years so I was looking to purchase a new vehicle. I wanted to see what a Subaru was like and went to Bertera Subaru in West Springfield. I met with Nuno Marques and told him what I was looking for. I test drove the Legacy Sedan and really liked the vehicle. My main concern for my new vehicle was my comfort over time. I have a bad back and a 100 mile round trip commute to work each day. Nuno was excellent to work with and showed a genuine concern for my situation. I test drove different versions of the Legacy sedan three more times and I still could not be sure that the seat and the side leg room was going to work for me. Nuno and the Bertera dealership let me take a Legacy home for one night so I could make my commute to work with it. I was hesitant at first, but Nuno convinced me to do it. I was so surprised that a dealership would do this. It was the best thing I could have done. It saved me from making a mistake with the purchase of a car that was not going to work for me. I am very greatful to Nuno and Bertera for allowing me to do this. I did not buy a vehicle from Bertera so I cannot comment on price or vehicle service. But, I can say that it was one of the best dealership experiences I have had and Nuno Marques is the best car sales person I have ever dealt with. more

I received excellent service during my recent new car purchase. My salesman Nuno was very knowlegable about the Forester I purchased, worked with the parts department and service department to order and install the various accessories I purchased, and as I wasn't trading in my old car, even drove my old car back to my house for me after I picked up the new car. He also made clear after the sale that I should call him if I have any more questions about the vehicle after I got it home. I didn't use dealer financing and haven't personally used the service department yet so I can't comment on those. more

I had been in the market for a particular used car and found it at Bertera. I have had experience with several other dealerships in the past, not all wonderful. When I spoke with Brian Hall over the phone, he was very helpful, very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He was direct and upfront when we spoke, and I really valued that. He provided quick feedback and was very easy to deal with throughout. Specifically, Brian went out of his way to help make the transaction run very smoothly for me. He arranged for an inspection of the vehicle with another local dealership and organized an exchange over three hours away from Bertera to make it convenient for me. All much appreciated. I purchased a car from Bertera and brought it back to them twice WITHIN 30 days. Each time they said nothing was wrong with it and told me to bring it to Toyota, "they would say the same thing". So I brought it to Toyota and at the time I brought it to them it went over 30 days. It turns out the car needed a new engine. I was stuck dealing with a lawyer for a year and had to get another reliable car to drive in the mean time. After a year of dealing with a lawyer I only got $1000 while the new engine cost me $6000. I had to save up enough money to replace the engine and at the same time pay two car payments and insurance on both cars. Another year went by and I was still not able to sell the car by itself so I had to trade both of my cars in for one car. Now, years later I'm basically still paying for two cars due to all of the negative equity, and will be until my car is paid off. Do not buy from Bertera, they ruined my life. more

I recently was in a serious car accident where my 2008 Tribeca was totaled, so I found myself once again on the internet trying to locate a vehicle for replacement. I went into this very skeptical as my last experience with another dealer was very dissatisfying to say the least. I spent allot of time and talked with many Subaru dealers around the country before settling with Bertera in West Springfield MA. The salesman Rich Santoni made it painless to find, negotiate and equip my new 2010 Tribeca. I will admit there were a few snags in getting the paper work to Florida timely but with all honesty from the moment the issue arose the entire dealership from our salesman Rich Santoni to the sales manager Chris, to the finance dept headed by Mary, they each bent over backwards, and moved mountains to not only speed things up, but make sure I was happy. I have received follow up calls to double ck if everything was satisfactory. It takes an honest business to find an issue and make it right with a smile on their face. That gives me confidence in their dealership and sales team. more
